Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The second commandment (Exodus 20:4-6) does not sanction bowing down to or worshiping statues and images. Pastor Flemons clarifies that while Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a virgin who was miraculously impregnated with the Son of God by the Holy Ghost, she herself is not to be worshiped. She is not part of the godhead. Because of Mary, Christ is one hundred percent human. And because of the Holy Ghost, Christ is one hundred percent divine. His humanity allows His image to be painted, as any other human, but not for the purposes of worship. To avoid any temptation or confusion on this point, and because most photos are not true to the biblical description of Jesus anyway, it is best to not have a representation of even His image, says Pastor Flemons.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, read an article published on the site of ScienceDaily.com. It shows that in 2009, researchers learned that “children who had received the flu vaccine had three times the risk of hospitalization, as compared to children who had not received the vaccine. In asthmatic children, there was a significantly higher risk of hospitalization in subjects who received the TIV, as compared to those who did not.” Still, the official conclusion was that their findings only raised questions and did not implicate that the vaccine caused the hospitalizations. Pastor Flemons agrees with their findings but not with their scientific conclusion and says, “There’s your proof.” What more do you need? People have good reason to question, even refuse, the flu vaccine. Rather, adopt the REFRESHING way lifestyle. The REFRESHING Way lifestyle is the best flu vaccine. It’s God’s plan for wellness.

Words of Encouragement
Psalm 27:13, 14 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Hebrews 6:10-12 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
