Worship: Behavior in God’s House / Wellness: Meals Over Pills

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Wherever we meet with God, the ground is holy. His presence makes it so. (Read Exodus 3:5.) Holy conduct, therefore, is always appropriate. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake   Just as meals featuring meat, milk, eggs, and cheese are linked to all the top killer diseases, meals featuring nuts, seeds, grains, fruits and vegetables are linked to vibrant health and longevity. Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed the concept of meals over pills and invited the public to the Meals Over Pills event scheduled for this coming Sabbath (Saturday) afternoon from 4 pm to 6 pm at Rescue the Perishing Second Advent Church in Pacolet, SC.

Special Prayer for call-in listener 6349. Brittani’s memorial is tomorrow. Please pray for her friends: that they may have hope and be encouraged to have a close walk with God and live for Him.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 51:5-7  Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Jeremiah 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Unfortunately, the typical behavior in the sanctuary is unholy. It is of a common nature. It glorifies an unholy self, rather than a holy God. Pastor Flemons says that the music and movements commonly found in the house of God are the same as those found in the club. It is a feel-good style of worship without truth. The music and the prayers are repetitive and hypnotic. It is not true worship. Only true worship is acceptable in the “church of the living God,” which is “the pillar and ground of truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).

We are to “enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name,” according to Psalm 100:4. We are to teach and admonish “one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace” in our hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16).

“Within the gate of the sanctuary, we are on holy ground.  . . . With humility and becoming decorum we should enter the gate of the court, for in that place of honor, Jesus stands to welcome us to His house. Even at the gate of the house of God on earth we are on holy ground.” PTG 42, 43 (PTG 32)
