Worship: Where Priests Ministered / Wellness: Understanding Hypoglycemia

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There was only one high priest, who ministered once a year in the Most Holy Place. The high priest represented Jesus, our High Priest, who ministers in the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary for us now. General priests conducted their service in the court and in the holy place only. “The Levites, though divinely set apart to assist the priests, never entered the sanctuary itself, except when the camp was moved from place to place, and even then only after all the furniture had been covered. . . . At other times, their service was confined to the court. An ordinary Israelite had access only to the court when he brought his sacrifice for sin. PP 353. During His life on earth, Christ Himself never entered either the holy place or the most holy place, because His work as a priest did not begin until His sacrificial work in the court of heart was finished. Then He began His ministry in the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary–in ‘heaven itself.'” (Read Hebrews 9:6, 7, 12, 24; Leviticus 16:17; Numbers 3:6, 9; 4:15, 20-33. By all means, listen to the recording for more and to hear Pastor Flemons sing “How Sweet the Name of Jesus.” )

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, “Most Americans have some level of hypoglycemia.” If you have cravings for a piece of candy, you likely are hypoglycemic. He described hypoglycemia as a roller coaster with its blood sugar levels of highs and lows. Normal blood sugar levels don’t have such extremes. Instead there are slow rises to the peak and back again to the level blood sugar, called the fasting level. The roller coaster effect on blood sugar levels are caused by foods laden with sugar. They have the similar effects of drugs and alcohol on blood sugar. The way back to normal is a diet of green foods, maybe even without fruit for awhile. You must retrain the body. That includes a lifestyle change. Eat raw whole foods and vegetables. Licorice root tea offers extra help toward normalcy, as does TOR’s Supertonic, which contains another helpful herb: spirulina. (Please listen to the recording for more details and understanding of hypoglycemia.)

Words of Encouragement

Philippians 2:9-11  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Acts 16:18  And this she did many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
