Worship: The Work of Priests / Wellness: A Drink A Day Takes Your Life Away

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Once saved always saved is not supported in Scripture. The Day of Atonement is proof. It was the day in which the high priest judged Israel. “The high priest under God acted not only as intercessor from day to day throughout the year, but he also judged Israel. This God indicated by the Urim and Thummin . . .  a ‘breastplate of judgment.’ Ex. 28:29, 30. The high priest’s work as judge was manifest especially on the day of Atonement, when God through him judged who were to be ‘cut off’ from Israel–those who had not afflicted their soul or had not observed the other requirements of God for the day, Lev. 23:27-29,–and those who were accounted worthy to be retained as God’s people.

“The priests were also teachers in Israel. Ed. 78. Under God, they also acted as rulers of the nation. Their ministry as rulers continued to the time of Samuel, when they demanded a king that they might be ‘like all the nations.” 1 Sam. 8:4,5, 19, 20. (Listen to the recording for more details.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  One drink a day of wine or any alcoholic beverage will shorten your lifespan, not extend it. What ever is good in wine is better in pure grape juice, says Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness. He then cleared the confusion and misunderstanding of Bible texts commonly used to support winebibbing. Please listen to the recording and read Isaiah 65:8; Proverbs 23:29-35; John 2:1-10; and 1 Timothy 5:23 to learn that new wine is unfermented grape juice and that fermented grape juice, which “moves by itself,” or sparkles, is addictive and is to be avoided. You will also learn that the wine Jesus made for the wedding was the fresh and pure juice of the grape, which was also recommended by Paul for a stomachache.

Sharing Time  Pastor Flemons responded to the question about how to rebut a Shepherd’s Rod believer. Pastor responded with respect to Ezekiel 9, the supposed slaughtering of SDAs, and the Sabbathkeeping version of the secret rapture theory, as well as the David Koresh believers.

Special Prayer for call-in listener Sis. Angela (that God will grant her favor during her legal deposition today for the car accident she was in) and for Dr. Roy Malcolm, who has had a stroke and is in NICU in Huntsville, AL.

Post-broadcast request from a listener: Please pray for Stacey, who was in a car accident. The car was totaled. She is okay: just sore for now. “Pray that God will keep her from any ill effects.”

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.

Words of Encouragement

Philippians 2:14, 15  Do all things, without murmurings and disputing: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Romans 11:33  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
