Worship: The Most Misunderstood Bible Verse / Wellness: Meals Over Pills to Prevent Osteoarthritis

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake   Romans 7:25 may sound as though you can at the same time serve the law of God and the law of sin, but it is not saying that. It is saying that you have a choice. You can choose to have the mind of Christ and serve God. Or you may choose to submit to the lusts of the body and serve the law of sin. Prior to true conversion, true victory over sin is not experienced. When we walk in the Spirit, we are fully surrendered to Christ and we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. It is the love of Christ that constrains us from sinning.  (Read Romans 7:25; Romans 7:14-25; Galatians 5:16, 17; and 2 Corinthians 5:14. Also, listen to the recording and hear Pastor Flemons sing “I Want to See Jesus, Don’t You?”)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, arthritis or joint inflammation is caused by an acidic diet. When the blood is acidic, the body is forced to alkalinize the blood by pulling minerals, essentially calcium, from the bones. In the process, calcium deposits are trapped in the joints, causing inflammation and pain. The answer to the prevention and the cure of osteoarthritis is in the diet and lifestyle. An alkaline diet of whole foods, including fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains, is essential. Disease cannot develop or thrive when the bloodstream is alkaline. Pastor Flemons encourages juice fasting or feasting, fever baths, cabbage wrapping the joints, MSM, turmeric, bromelain, papain, plenty of water, and exercise. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

Mark 14:58  We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

Revelation 21:22  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (Read also 4SP 492.)

Worship: The Trysting Place / Wellness: Meals Over Pills to Prevent Diabetes

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The trysting place is one translation for the holy place in the sanctuary. The trysting place is “a place where lovers meet to make engagement for marriage.” (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, “Resist the urge to take a pill.” Instead of a pill for diabetes, eat a total plant-based diet. Especially eat foods that contain chromium, like broccoli, barley, oats, grapes, oranges, potatoes.  He says, “We need to focus on education, not medication.” Diet is either the prevention or the problem, and diet is the cure. Diabetes is thought to be caused by eating too much sugar. In reality, says Pastor Flemons, it is caused by eating too much fat and toxins (typically in animal products). Fats and toxins clog the body’s insulin receptors, which then prevents sugar or glucose from entering inside the cell to create energy. Instead, the sugar remains in the bloodstream, resulting in elevated sugar levels in the blood: hyperglycemia. Eating sugar simply exacerbates the problem. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

2 Corinthians 12:8, 9  For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (Read also Gospel Workers 1892, p. 441.2.) Continue reading “Worship: The Trysting Place / Wellness: Meals Over Pills to Prevent Diabetes”

Worship: Growing Up into Christ / Wellness: Meals Over Pills to Prevent Cancer

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Sanctification is a “growing up” process and is the work of a lifetime. It is the result of battles fought and victories won because of daily Bible study, prayer and Christian service. “It is through a study of the Word, and obedience to it, that we ‘grow in grace and in the knowledge of. . . Christ.’ II Peter 3:18. Of equal importance to our spiritual growth is prayer, ‘the breath of the soul,’ symbolized at the golden altar. As we thus grow, we become fitted to let our light shine in service for others, an experience represented by the golden candlestick. God ‘worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.’ Phil. 2:13. The result of this three fold experience in Christian growth is sanctification which follow justification in the court. It is not a theory; it is a life – not a life of idle dreaming, but one of earnest effort to overcome temptation, and bravely meet daily duties and trials.”

[For additional details, please read 2 Peter 3:18; Philippians 2:13; Hebrews 5:12; Matthew 5:16 and “Growing Up Into Christ” in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 104, 105 original; PTG 146 new edition; PTG 77 online. Also listen to the recording and hear Pastor Flemons sing “Growing in Jesus.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Cancer is a disease of toxins that pierce and damage the cellular wall. You end up with a fungal core that creates more acid, because once damaged, the cell will only allow sugar inside and grow through fermentation. Because cancer is a disease of an inefficient immune system, keeping the immune system strong helps prevent cancer. One way to do that is to avoid ingesting excess estrogen found in animal products. Instead, eat brown rice, quinoa, and other grains with nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Eat a total plant-based diet and you will find it difficult to get cancer, unless you are totally stressed out. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says “A glass of vegetable juice goes a long way to help build up the immune system.” (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

1 Samuel 2:10  The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed. (Read also Habakkuk 3:4.)

Worship: Inside the Holy Place / Wellness: Your Stomach Needs Rest

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The passport into the Holy Place is justification, obtained in the court, where we were cleansed of all our past sins. Inside the Holy Place is pure gold with a vail at the far end, beyond which is the Most Holy Place. Like the door and the gate, the vail is blue, purple and scarlet. “In it, figures of cherubim are richly embroidered in gold. The ceiling above is of the same, with cherubim inwrought with threads of pure gold. All along both sides are boards covered with glittering gold, and having angel figures engraved, or reflected, in their shining surfaces. We are literally encompassed with angel figures, even as Christ was surrounded with real angels when He entered the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary.” Nearest the vail at the far end is the altar of incense. On the right is the golden table, with its twelve loaves of life-giving bread, its flagon and other dishes of gold. On the left is the golden candlestick, which casts its light throughout, giving the effect of a rainbow, “similar to the rainbow around God’s throne. Such is the gorgeous place in which we are to develop true Christian character.”

[For additional details, please read 2 Peter 1:4; Hebrews 1:14; 12:22; Leviticus 24:3; Matthew 5:16; and PP 347.1 – 348.1 . Also, please listen to the recording and sing with Pastor Flemons, Hymn 312, “Near the Cross.” The full reading of “Within the Holy Place” may be found in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 104 original; PTG 146 new edition; PTG 76, 77 online.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  If you want to avoid indigestion, gastritis, ulcers, GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), or other digestive condition like IBD (irritable bowel disease), give your stomach a rest. Allow five hours between meals, during which you should only ingest liquids, preferably water. Allow an hour between meals and consuming liquids. Drinking with meals causes more work on the stomach says Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness. So do eating late evening meals, which overwork the digestive system when the body is trying to rest. That accounts for the next morning’s lethargy. Chewing gum or eating candy between meals causes the stomach to work in preparation to receive food that never really arrives. That leaves acid in the stomach that can eventually cause ulcers. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

John 10:14, 15  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knowers me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. (Also read DA 479.)

John 10:17, 18  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. (Also read HLv 326.2 -.5.)

Worship: The Door / Wellness: TOR’s Supertonic Superfood

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The door of the sanctuary represents Jesus, who Himself said that He is the door through which a man goes to be saved and that any other way is the way of a robber and a thief. (Read John 10:1, 7, 9.) The door of the sanctuary was hung on five pillars, unlike the gate which hung on four. These five pillars is said to represent Jesus as “Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). Made of shittim wood, the doors were completely covered with gold, as humanity is covered by divinity of the one completely surrendered to Christ.

[For additional details plus the discussion of the brass sockets, please read Exodus 26:37; John 10:1,7,9, and 11; Revelation 3:12; Isaiah 9:6; Psalm 22:16; John 19:34; Jude 24; and Galatians 5:1. Also, please listen to the recording. The full reading of “At the Door” and “The Door and Its Pillars as Symbols” may be found in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 103, 104 original; PTG 145 new edition; PTG 76 online.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, introduced listeners to TOR’s best-selling product: AAA Supertonic Superfood. Supertonic provides the basic building blocks of the body’s nutritional needs. Stevia, which is a plant-based sweetener, and ginseng, which is an energizer are both optional ingredients. Some simply don’t prefer the taste of stevia. And ginseng, because of its toning ability, can cause the blood pressure to be elevated. Hypertensive persons, therefore, may consider opting out of the ginseng  ingredient, which is listed as Eleutherococcus. Other ingredients include Moringa, Mangosteen, Noni, Wheatgrass, Rice Bran, Astragalus, Spirulina, Peppermint, Alfalfa, Echinacea, Acai Berry, Barley Grass, and Bee Pollen. (For further details and the benefits of each ingredient, please click on each ingredient and listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

Genesis 50:20   But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Isaiah 40:8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (Also read TMK 213.3 – 213.4.)

Worship: What It Means to Press Toward the Mark / Wellness: Benefits of Shavegrass

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Christians are lifelong volunteers, soldiers in God’s army against His foe, Satan. It is a battle that is not carnal. It is not against flesh and blood, as is erroneously thought and frequently seen. It is spiritual warfare: against powers and principalities, against rulers of darkness in the world and against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Read Ephesians 6:10-18.) It requires full spiritual armor from head to toe. Every piece represents Christ from the helmet of salvation, which is the mind of Christ,  to the breastplate of His righteousness, to the shield of His faith, to the sword of His Spirit, which is the Word of God in the mission of the gospel of peace, wherever we go. It means laying aside every other weight and going on unto perfection with a focus that is ever forward and never backward.

[For additional details, please read Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Peter 2:12; Hebrews 6:1, 2; Ephesians 4:22, 27-32; and EW 119.1. Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shavegrass aka horsetail (but not a real horse’s tail!) has a high silica content, making it especially useful in external preparations for hair and skin support. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, introduced listeners to a WellnessMama.com article, which reports that this amazing herb can be used also for polishing metal. Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, horsetail is also known for its antibacterial, antimicrobial, antioxidant, coagulant, demulcent (soothing), diuretic and astringent activity. It has broad use, including use for brittle bones, hair, teeth, gingivitis, tonsillitis, edema, itchiness, rashes, burns, frostbite, cracked and tired feet, and the list goes on.   (For additional details, please read the article and listen to the recording.)

Psalm 23:1   The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

Psalm 34:10  The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: But they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. (Also read RH March 15, 1906, par 11.)

Worship: Preparation for the Holy Place / Wellness: Dress to Take Deeper Breaths

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  When we have repented of our sins, been washed by baptism, and surrendered our hearts to Christ, we are ready to receive the Holy Spirit and to follow Jesus into the Holy Place of the sanctuary. “The greatest preparation to enter into the Holy Place is to be filled with the Holy Spirit of Christ,” says Pastor Flemons. The professed Christians who do not have the Holy Spirit are the cause of problems in the church. What is needed is to become self-denying people, who draw nearer to Christ.

[For additional details, please read Romans 6:4; Hebrews 12:2; Hebrews 13:5; Acts 2:38; Acts 19:2-5; Acts 24:25; Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 16:24. Also, please listen to the recording and join Pastor Flemons in singing Hymn 306, “Draw Me Nearer.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Loose-fitting clothing, especially around the waist and chest areas allow the lungs to expand and contract for proper airflow. Suspenders are better than belts for breathing freedom. Tight belts and clothing inhibit exhaling and inhaling, hurts the respiratory system, lymphs, and circulation of blood. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, “If you’re not breathing, you can’t continue living.” (For additional details, including how to properly breathe, please listen to the recording.)

Pastor also responds to a question about Jacob’s name change to Israel and what meaning is attached to the name Jesurun. Listen to the recording to hear Sis. Annette’s testimony about how her grandson was impressed with the gift of a Bible.

Words of Encouragement

Hebrews 3:12, 13   Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:19  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. (Also read GC 458 and CTr 54.2-54.4.)

Worship: My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts / Wellness: Overcoming PCOS the REFRESHING Way

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  When we fully give ourselves to God, the Holy Spirit helps us become one with God. His thoughts become our thoughts, His ways our ways. It is His desire that our minds reflect the mind of Christ. For in the beginning man was made in the image of God. The goal today is the same: to be remade in the image of God. That is what sanctification is all about: becoming like Christ. When your thoughts are not like His, you are not His. Even so, He invites you to come to Him. He promises mercy and pardon.

[For additional details, please read Isaiah 55:6-9 and Philippians 2:5. Also, please listen to the recording and join Pastor Flemons in singing Hymn 311, “I Would Be Like Jesus.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Are you obese, infertile, exhibit diabetic symptoms, have sudden irregular and/or heavier periods? Do you have ovarian cysts? Do you breakout with acne or other skin issues, suffer hair loss, or hair growth in unusual places? Do you experience breast tenderness and changes in mood or libido, even have suicidal tendency and eating disorders, depression or anxiety? If you experience some of these symptoms, get tested for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). PCOS is a condition common in women with a hormonal imbalance in which the ovaries produce more male sex hormones than normal. An estimated eighty percent of PCOS patients are obese. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says you can overcome it with a 10-day juice feast on greens, daily exercise and sufficient water, and herbs that balance the hormones. It requires a permanent lifestyle change, including a total plant-based diet. We call it the REFRESHING Way. (For additional details, please listen to the recording and read the health.news article on which the talk was based.)

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 95:1-3   O come, let us sing unto the LORD: Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Psalm 95:4-6  In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: Let us kneel before the LORD our maker. (Also read PK 48.)

Worship: Jesus Our Forerunner / Wellness: How a Healthy Diet Affects You Today

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  A forerunner hails the coming of a person of distinction. Once the forerunner has passed, all attention is focused on the one of distinction. John, the Baptist was a forerunner of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. The attention was on John the Baptist until the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah. The Apostle Paul, in Hebrews 6:20, says this same Messiah is now our Forerunner in Heaven. And in 1 Corinthians 4:9, Paul says we are on display, as a theater or a city set on a hill, to angels and to the whole universe of God. All the attention of Heaven is now on Earth, particularly on those who profess to believe in Jesus, the Christ.

[For additional details, please read AA 12 and listen to the recording and join Pastor Flemons in singing Hymn 522, “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less.” The full reading of “Jesus Our Forerunner” may be found in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 100 original; PTG 141 new edition; PTG 74 online.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that there is no need to suffer with high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases, or any other disease when you are determined and consistent in doing those things that promote health. Pure water energizes and keeps all body organs hydrated to properly function. You must drink (in ounces) half of your body weight every day and only at least an hour apart from your meals. Eat lots of raw whole foods, including lots of sprouts, for energy. Pastor advises making them part of the first meal of the day. The first meal should be the heaviest meal of the day. The second meal may be a lighter meal. A smoothie, rather than a heavy meal, is best as an evening meal, when necessary. Keep the diet simple with whole organic foods. And by all means, avoid eating flesh, dairy, eggs, processed and white flour products. (For additional details, please listen to the recording.)

Sharing Time  Pastor Flemons discussed the benefits of drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning. Besides waking up the organs, he says it promotes a morning bowel movement.

Odessa, and Dr. Rock, who wants it known that the interment of Mrs. Rock has changed and will be at noon, July 1st, at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, followed by the memorial service at 1 pm in the Oakwood University Church sanctuary.

Words of Encouragement

Exodus 23:20, 21   Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

1 Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (Also read SJ 184.5.)

Worship: The Holy Spirit in Our Lives Today / Wellness: Sugar Feeds Cancer

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “Every truly converted person today who repents and is baptized in the name ‘of the Holy Ghost,’ may expect to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, as promised to the early Christian believers. (Read Acts 2:28; Matthew 28:19.) Evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is in the manifestation of His fruits in the character of the believer. Love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: these are the fruits of the Holy Spirit to be seen in every fully converted believer. For it is the role of the Holy Spirit to perfect the saints “till we all come in the unity of the faith. . . and grow up into Him in all things.” (See Ephesians 4:12-15.)

[Please listen to the recording and sing with Pastor Flemons the beautiful Hymn 290, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.” The full reading of “The Holy Spirit in Our Lives Today” may be found in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 99, 100 original; PTG 140, 141 new edition; PTG 74 online.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says sugar feeds cancer, and the medical profession knows it. The proof is in the PET scan. Radioactive tracers follow the path of the sugar to the cancer, as cancer cells suck up the sugar. “Sugar makes it grow,” says Pastor Flemons, “and the tracer makes it glow.” He adds that there is no money in healthy people or dead people and that the money is right in the middle. If you have cancer, it is best to not accept the offerings of sugary treats during your quest to overcome cancer, even if it is offered by a medical professional. In fact, avoid sugary fruits too and opt for citrus fruits and berries. (For additional details, listen to the recording.)

Sharing Time  Listeners called in with testimonies, questions, and prayer requests. One listener provided the lemon juice/baking soda recipe to help remedy cancer, which had been mentioned in an earlier broadcast. The ingredients include the juice of 4 organic lemons, 1 T baking soda, and a little water. Take 1 tablespoon of the mixture 4 times per day. Pastor Flemons also spoke on MSM in response to a FB question from yesterday’s broadcast.

Special Prayer  Include in your prayers today call-in listeners 9450 and 3464 (Sis. Odessa asks prayer for her doctor’s appointment today and for her arm.) Also pray for FB viewer Steve Webb, who is needing recovery of his health, protection and comfort.

Words of Encouragement

2 Chronicles 30:9   For if ye turn again unto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

Hebrews 10:37-39  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them that draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (Also read SS 203.2.)
