Worship: Jesus Presents Our Prayers / Wellness: Tonsil Stones

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Sin severed man from God. Now only through the Holy Spirit and Christ can man’s prayers reach the Holy Father GOD. “Christ alone can give life to the soul dead in trespasses and sins. . . . More than we could possibly endure Christ endured in our behalf. Sinless to the last, he died for us. . . . Christ is able to save to the uttermost all who come to God by him. He ever liveth to make intercession for us. . . . Jesus stands before the Father, continually offering a sacrifice for the sins of the world. He is the minister of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. The typical offerings of the Jewish tabernacle no longer possess any virtue. A daily and yearly atonement is no longer necessary. But because of the continual commission of sin, the atoning sacrifice of a heavenly Mediator is essential. Jesus, our great high priest, officiates for us in the presence of God, offering in our behalf his shed blood. . . .

“The prayer and praise and confession of God’s people ascend as sacrifices to the heavenly sanctuary. But they ascend not in spotless purity. Passing through the corrupt channels of humanity, they are so defiled that unless purified by the righteousness of the great High Priest, they are not acceptable by God. Christ gathers into the censer the prayers, the praise, and the sacrifices of his people, and with these he puts the merits of his spotless righteousness. Then, perfumed with the incense of Christ’s propitiation, our prayers, wholly and entirely acceptable, rise before God, and gracious answers are returned.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed tonsil stones, which are a nonfatal collection of bacteria and food particles that become calcified white stonelike structures on the tonsils. Due to poor dental hygiene and poor dietary practices, tonsil stones can cause difficulty in swallowing, soreness in the throat, bad breath, and a general sick feeling.

Getting rid of them can be as simple as gargling with a solution of salt water or lemon water or charcoal water. It may be possible to dislodge them, using a toothbrush laced with an essential oil, like eucalyptus. If you do use the toothbrush method, Pastor Flemons advises getting rid of it immediately afterward. He also advises that you take echinacea, lots of garlic and lemon, or some other immune-building combination, like Rocket Fuel or garlic sauce (see “For Health’s Sake” below).

To prevent them, you will want to improve dental hygiene and dietary practices that will exclude consuming sugar and dairy. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Psalm 100:3-4  Know ye that the LORD he is God: It is he that hath made us and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise; Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. (Also read Ed 242.4, 244.2.)
