Worship: Small Time of Trouble / Wellness: Staying Fit for Times of Trouble

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There is a small time of trouble and a great time of trouble, also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble. They both occur before Jesus returns. “Some would say that we are already in the little time of trouble,” says Pastor Flemons. But he says that the little time of trouble officially begins and is more fully catapulted as the national Sunday law is enacted.

During this time those who have not rejected the truth may still be converted. Time is provided for that group to be witnessed to. “This is the time to drop seeds of truth,” says Pastor Flemons. The Holy Spirit will be given in great measure, and the Sabbath will be more fully proclaimed. It will be a time when God’s faithful followers will not be able to buy or to sell, because they have rejected the Sunday law, as the illegitimate or “spurious Sabbath.”

This will be a time of persecution. “In the courts injustice will prevail.” Some during this time may become martyrs for the truth, since there can be no martyrs during the great time of trouble. Religious liberty will have come to an end. And the world “is going to get worse and worse,” says Pastor Flemons. But those who “lay hold” on truth, to whom God’s righteousness is revealed, and who keep from polluting the true seventh-day Sabbath, will receive the blessing of the LORD, according to Isaiah 56:1-3.

Pray also for those undergoing surgery today and all grieving families (especially spouses). Pray for those fighting for their lives and against depression. Also pray for people living in areas of extreme heat and in those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters.

Words of Encouragement

For Health’s Sake…

The REFRESHING way to biblical health for times of trouble is this:

The R is Rely on God. Trusting in God relieves stress, which increases harmful levels of inflammation and, thereby, disease.

E is Eat healthy. That means eating a whole-food, total plant-based diet. The flesh of dead animals, plus their byproducts, such as milk, eggs and cheese, must be eliminated, along with sugary foods and white flour products.

F stands for Fresh air. You need fresh air daily, especially while you are sleeping and exercising.

R is Rest. It is best getting to bed by 9:30 every evening. It keeps your immune system strong.

E is Exercise. Walking is the best exercise. A brisk walk daily and an after-meal stroll are recommended.

S is Self-control. Abstaining from all things harmful and doing in moderation those things that are good is how you exercise self-control and temperance. For “every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.” (Read 1 Corinthians 9:25.)

H is H2O, drink water. Every day, drink in ounces half of your body’s weight.

I is being In the sun for vitamin D, which is essential.

N is Never giving up. A firm, steady commitment is key. You must persevere. And…

G is Giving to others. This principle “keeps you from being selfish,” says Pastor Flemons.

This is how you stay fit for times of trouble.
