Worship: Sabbath History and Lessons / Wellness: How to Refresh Your Prostate

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The weekly seventh-day or Bible Sabbath is when all, like God during creation week, have the privilege of resting from secular work and unnecessary labor, including cooking. It is embedded with at least two tests of loyalty, as is shown through Sabbath meal instructions. One test “deals with your health,” says Pastor Flemons. The other reminds you weekly of the greater Sabbath test of loyalty during the future Sunday law crisis.

Every day, except Sabbaths, God rained manna or bread from Heaven. God instructed Moses that the people were to gather a certain amount every day. On Fridays, however, they were to gather and prepare a double portion: one portion for Friday and the other portion for Sabbaths (or Saturdays). On Sabbaths, they were not even to go out to look for it. None would be there. In fact, they were to remain in their places. Their obedience would prove their loyalty.

Interestingly, the daily portions were never to be kept over until the next day. It would breed worms and stink. Yet, the extra portion gathered on Fridays would remain miraculously fresh through Sabbaths. Moreover, the portion that was stored in a pot and kept in the Most Holy Place of the sanctuary was miraculously maintained.

Ask the Lord to show you what is His plan for you today and then do it before the Sabbath arrives at sunset on Fridays. Ask Him if you are doing anything on Sabbath that could wait until another day. But during the preceding six days, do whatever you can and need to do so that it is not left to be done on Sabbaths. Salvation involves making decisions daily. The Sabbath weekly prepares us for making the right decisions for our salvation.

(For additional details, please read Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 15:26Exodus 16:4, 5, and 1933. Also, listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Shelem Flemons and hear him sing Hymn 385, “Crowning Jewel of Creation.”)

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Women can help the men in their lives by helping them maintain the nutrients essential to prostate health: particularly zinc. Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that with every ejaculation, men lose a large amount of zinc. He says that it would take three days to replace what was lost. You can help replenish zinc by eating raw pumpkin seeds daily.

Hence, it is the daily diet that is so essential to prostate health. The diet should be a total whole foods, plant-based diet, with low levels of sugar and no white flour products. Neither should meat or animal products be included in the diet, because it causes elevated levels of dihydrotestosterone, which is a highly concentrated level of testosterone that is dangerous and leads to an enlarged prostate and potentially prostate cancer.

TOR has an herbal product just for prostate health. TOR’s Prostate Refresher Tonic contains saw palmetto, pygeum bark and nettles, all which reduce BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) symptoms. Pygeum is the extract of an African plum. All are also antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties.

Because the antioxidant lycopene is mostly found in tomatoes, that makes tomatoes a great food to support prostate health and decrease the development of BPH. Other such foods that contain lesser levels of lycopene include papaya, pink grapefruit, apricot, watermelon, guava, carrots, red bell pepper, and red cabbage. The deeper red the fruit or vegetable the higher levels of lycopene it contains.

(For further details and discussion about PSA levels and biopsies and their risk for prostate cancer, please listen to the recording, including the Sharing Time and read the MedicalNewsToday.com article Pastor Flemons mentioned: “How to Shrink the Prostate Naturally.”)

Words of Encouragement

Revelation 12:12  Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (Also read Ye Shall Receive PowerYRP 348.)

1 Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (Also please read My Life Today, ML 94.)
