Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Don’t accept the half-heartedness that Satan entices you to put on. Rather, put on the whole armor of Christ in whom is no half-truths or half-heartedness. Those who are only lukewarm will be wholly lost, even spewed out, according to Revelation 3:16.
Combining good and evil is what crumbled Adam and Eve’s Eden home in the first place. (Read Genesis 3:5.) God wants us to be all or none. God wants us to avoid the broad way, says Pastor Flemons. Those on the broad way are
“compromising Christians.” They mix good and evil. They “mix self with holiness.” James (1:8) warns against double-mindedness, which really means that God has half the mind and Satan has half the mind. We must be totally surrendered to Christ. Nothing less will work.
“At the eleventh hour the Lord will gather a company out of the world, to serve Him. There will be a converted ministry. Those who have had privileges and opportunities to become intelligent in regard to the truth, and yet who continue to counterwork the work God would have accomplished, will be purged out, for God accepts the service of no man whose interest is divided. He accepts the whole heart, or none.” {Ms64-1898.26}
[For additional details, please read Ephesians 6:10-11; James 1:8; E.A. Sutherland’s Studies in Christian Education, and Matthew 13:17. Also, listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang “It Takes Everything to Serve the Lord.”]
Worship: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that when you travel, you must choose your foods wisely to stay healthy. He suggests making a fruit salad with the fruit provided at the hotel’s continental breakfast. Sometimes you may be able to include granola or bring your own. Either use it to top off your fruit salad, or try eating it as a cereal with apple juice. But bypass the milk. Bypass the eggs. Bypass the sausage. Bypass the donuts. Bypass the coffee and other refined and sugary foods. Do these to avoid bypassing the rest of your natural life.
“Let’s eat the right foods,” says Pastor Flemons. You may have to travel with your own fruit and foods. You may not get as satisfied as you normally would. But do what you have to do to stay healthy. “Master your circumstances,” he says. Don’t let your circumstances master you.
