Worship: Organization of the Christian Church / Wellness: Most People Are Acidic

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jesus ordained twelve disciples and sent them forth to preach. This was the beginning of the Christian church. The act was a protest against arbitrary authority, like the protest of the princes at the beginning of Protestantism, says Pastor Flemons, who shared pertinent Bible texts and this reading from the Spirit of Prophecy.

“It was at the ordination of the Twelve that the first step was taken in the organization of the church that after Christ’s departure was to carry on His work on the earth. Of this ordination the record says, ‘He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him. And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach.’ Mark 3:13, 14.” {AA 18.1}

“And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch” (Acts 11:26).

[For additional details, please read Acts of the Apostles, by Ellen G. White, AA 18; Mark 3:14; Mark 14:22-25; Acts 2:1, as well as the Great Controversy, by Ellen G. White, Chapter 11, “Protest of the Princes”(GC 197); and “Organization of the Christian Church” in Path to the Throne of God, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck. (PTG 206 original. PTG 279 latest edition. Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that we need to watch what we eat and how we live, because it all affects the health of our blood. The health of the blood is measured on a pH scale (from zero to 14), where its optimum is at about 7.2 to 7.5, he says. Below that range is acidic. Above it is more alkaline. Both extremes are deadly.

Eating the flesh of animals and animal products, like eggs and dairy products, as well as eating too much processed food, he says, is the best way to be acidic. Cancer is a disease of acidity. It is fueled by lactate: that is, sugar fermented by the body. In fact, almost every disease that we know of, he says, is a disease of acidity.

Battery acid is extremely acidic. Ammonia and bleach are extremely alkaline, says Pastor Flemons. Both extremes, if too much is ingested, can be fatal, he says. When you are sick, you are acidic. And when you are fine, you are alkaline, he says.

Because most people are dehydrated, they are automatically acidic. Pure distilled water is a perfect 7.0. Therefore, just by drinking sufficient water can bring you to 7.0. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables tend to keep you at a normal range of alkalinity, says Pastor Flemons. It is best to build your meals around salads, whether it’s the fruit meal or vegetable meal. They should not be mixed. Based on Genesis 1:29, it is God’s dietary plan for the human body, along with nuts and grains. Pastor Flemons briefly discussed which grain is the best for alkalinity; and he compared the lifespans of the antediluvians with postdiluvians.

(For those details and more, please listen to the recording and compare for yourself the lifespan of preflood generations to those afterward, who included meat in their diet. Read Genesis 5 and then Genesis 11, as well as Genesis 25:7.)

Sharing Time  One listener  questioned the theology of the evangelicals reaching back to embrace Israel as the center of all things. He also asked about the importance of knowing which of the various tribes of Israel to which we belong, based on our characteristics. Our “mother in Israel” commented on the topic as well.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers listener 1513, who made no request, and Pastor Rupert Balfour, who is recovering from two emergency brain surgeries.

Also keep all listeners in prayer, especially one who has a desperate need today and those struggling in their faith.
