Worship: A Pharisee Is Sad You See, Part 5 / Wellness: Too Much Protein Leads to Asthma, Allergies

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake
“Pharisees will drive you out of the church,” says Pastor Flemons. Confessing to having been a Pharisee himself, Pastor Flemons says that he wants to help save other Pharisees, probably especially those in Present Truth. He realizes that his goal is extremely difficult with extremely little hope for great success. Still, in light of the Apostle Paul’s conversion and singular contribution to the church, it is worth the effort.

Basing his talk on Matthew 23:13-15, Pastor Flemons says that Pharisees are outside of God’s will. They won’t go to Heaven. And they keep others from going as well. While they won’t compromise on principle, they will add made-up restrictions that lay burdens on others. It’s all about how they treat other people, he says.

They even have levels of wrongdoing. They look for wrongdoing to press condemnation on others. And they are easily angered when someone else differs in some slight way of looking at things.

Pharisees can also be involved in immorality. And they forget that they have a past. Instead, they prefer to dwell on the past sins of someone else. All the while, Pharisees publicly perform righteous deeds to be deemed righteous. However, a Pharisee’s strict, unloving, condemnatory character keeps him or her from winning souls, while crossing land and sea seeking to win souls. If they do bring in some soul, that soul becomes twofold worse than they.

Pharisees are self-deceived, self-righteous, self-proclaimed Christians that push doctrine to the extent of capital punishment for the erring (thinking they are doing God a favor). Yet they fail to realize when they themselves are in error. A Pharisee is indeed sad, you see.

[For further details, please read Matthew 23:13-15; and listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 108, “Amazing Grace,”after which he took special time for answering FB questions.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that you can eat too much protein and cause the body to be toxic. Eating too much protein causes asthma. When you have asthma, you have allergies. He says that eating too much protein causes allergic reactions, even those that you don’t acquaint with allergic reactions, like migraine headaches, for instance.

The flesh of animals and their byproducts, like eggs, milk and cheese, have a high protein content. We need to understand, says Pastor Flemons, “We were not made to drink the milk of a cow.” And we really do not need so much protein to be healthy.

“We’ve been lied to,” he says. We would do well to simply eat more of the fruits and vegetables and less of nuts and other protein-rich foods. Besides that, we should completely exclude the protein sourced from the flesh of animals (including fowls and fish) and their byproducts: the eggs, the milk, the cheese.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria’s shared “Safeguards for the Future,” Chapter 27, in the book Power of Prayer, by Ellen G. White, p. 59. The reading reveals how we can be drawn into the secret pavilion of the Most High God, when under Satan’s attacks; that the God of truth is a sure defense; how that the false will so closely resemble the true, that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand the last great conflict. (Hyperlinks lead to another source for the same quote or message.)

Pastor Flemons answered questions about protein sources, muscle mass, peanuts and cashews, and diatomaceous earth. However, he tabled answering the question about whether the wedding will be live streamed.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers Listener 4288, who made no special request.

Sis. Chester asks that we pray for Christians under attack, especially SDAs in Burundi. Detainees have been released. Still, keep them in prayer.

Also, please pray for Sis. Annette, who is facing a number of challenges. Thank you.
