Worship: For Heaven’s Sake GOD can’t favor those who reject Him. Many people think that they are going to be saved because of some outward attribute. Therefore, some believe that the 144,000 is made up of literal Jews. But that is not so. No Jew, no Gentile, no color is preferred. Salvation is an operation of the heart of those willing to be filled by the Holy Spirit’s power.
Pastor Flemons says the 144,000 is not an exact or literal number of living saints at the coming of Christ. He believes the number is symbolic. He says that he believes the number is far greater than 144,000, that 144,000 is mathematically too small a number to total those proclaiming the gospel together with those to be saved and alive when Jesus comes.
Nevertheless, we are encouraged to strive to be one of the 144,000. Exactly who the 144,000 really are is not a requirement to work together to God’s glory.
[For further details, please read Romans 2:28, 29; Isaiah 53:4; John 1:11; John 3:16; Titus 2:11-14; Romans 11:17-28; and listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 216, “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder.”]
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that those with acid reflux often are plagued by anxiety and fear. Pastor Flemons believes that is because the acid flows to the core of the body, near the heart and produces symptoms of a heart attack and sensations of fear.
The source of that is also a spiritual disconnection and distrust in the Lord. For the Bible lets us know that God has not given to us a spirit of fear, but He gives to us power, love, and a sound mind. (Read 2 Timothy 1:7.) You can overcome a panic attack by simply praying for strength of courage and trusting in the Lord. “Pause, wait and pray,” says Pastor Flemons. Claim the promises for peace, and you will have them, as you meet the conditions.
Also, there is a dietary component that produces acid reflux. Constantly eating the flesh of animals and their byproducts, chewing gum, and eating candy and anything else throughout the day: all produce acid reflux. All contribute to the abuse of the body, which results in acid reflux. It can also cause gastritis or ulcers, as well as a hiatal hernia. Rather than eating all day long, eat two to three meals a day, with five hours between total plant-based meals. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, which are far better than the concentrated protein in flesh foods that cause the body to produce acids.
For additional help, take an herbal product, such as TOR’s Tummy Soother that is not yet on the site to purchase, but may be purchased with a phone call to 855-867-4600, or call Pastor Flemons at 706-897-8537. Tummy Soother contains goldenseal, myrrh, cayenne, and slippery elm. “It will help coat and soothe and heal an irritated stomach and help protect it from a lot of those acids,” says Pastor Flemons.
He adds that DGL has a soothing effect on the stomach. It is a type of licorice that is safe to take for those with high blood pressure. It comes in tablet form. And you only need to take one tablet per meal. Also cabbage juice, which is a great healer of the stomach, is highly recommended. Pastor Flemons recommends drinking a pint to a quart of cabbage juice per day for relief.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria shared more powerful selections from the book Power of Prayer, a collection of Ellen G. White writings on prayer. Specifically from Chapter 50, “Watch Unto Prayer,” from page 101, she emphasized the result of those not watching and praying: “They enter into temptation,” and “they give way to their rebellious feelings, and run hither and thither in passionate grief.” (The links lead to another source for the same message. Also, please read Ephesians 6:18.)
