Worship: The Unpardonable Sin / Wellness: Got Hot Flashes? You May Need a Tincture!

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Focus on being in continuous alignment with the Spirit of God and you will be safe from committing the unpardonable sin. Grieving the Holy Spirit away is not a one-time rejection of Him, says Pastor Flemons. It is a process. One’s final refusal or rejection of the Holy Spirit determines that his or her sin is unpardonable.

“Christ told them plainly that in attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan, they were cutting themselves off from the fountain of blessing. Those who had spoken against Jesus Himself, not discerning His divine character, might receive forgiveness; for through the Holy Spirit they might be brought to see their error and repent. Whatever the sin, if the soul repents and believes, the guilt is washed away in the blood of Christ; but he who rejects the work of the Holy Spirit is placing himself where repentance and faith cannot come to him. It is by the Spirit that God works upon the heart; when men willfully reject the Spirit, and declare It to be from Satan, they cut off the channel by which God can communicate with them. When the Spirit is finally rejected, there is no more that God can do for the soul.”  {DA 321.3}

If you don’t know a thing is of God or of Satan, the wise thing to do is to keep quiet, says Pastor Flemons. It is better to simply watch and pray and wait for the fruit to mature. The fruit will clearly be of God or of Satan.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that sometimes you need tinctures or an extract of an herb for quicker results from hot flashes or anything else. Symptoms will ease quicker using tinctures than with teas or capsules. Use two or three droppers full of black cohosh tincture to get relief for hot flashes, he says. It gets the herb in the bloodstream quickly. You may also use the same amount of Don Quai tincture. Both tinctures may be needed, he says. But by all means lower your stress, which contributes to hot flashes.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria shared more powerful readings from the book Power of Prayer, a collection of Ellen G. White writings on prayer. Specifically from Chapter 25, “The Promises of Prayer,” page 56, she emphasized four points: 1. that God has placed the promises in His Word to lead us to have faith in Him; 2. that “simple prayers . . . mingled with the incense of the perfection of Christ, will ascend as fragrance to the Father, and answers will come;” 3. that “the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is an assurance that, if you will claim Their help, these powers will help you in every emergency;” and 4. that “The guardianship of the heavenly host is granted to all who will work in God’s ways and follow His plans.”  (The links lead to another source for the same message. The reference to the value of sleep being doubled prior to midnight versus those hours of sleep after midnight has been found: 7MR 224. “I know from the testimonies given me from time to time for brain workers, that sleep is worth far more before than after midnight. Two hours’ good sleep before twelve o’clock is worth more than four hours after twelve o’clock…. ” {7MR 224.3} Sis. Michelle found a similar quote in another source: the book How to Live.

Pastor Flemons answered questions regarding symptoms of twitching and restless leg syndrome. Sis. Maria answered a question about juicing asparagus (16-24 oz daily) for kidney health. Pastor Flemons answered a question about the benefit of the apricot seed for cancer. Sis. Audrey mentioned one source for purchasing apricot seed.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today Listener 4432, who made no special request.

Please pray for Sis. Chester, who needs relief from the twitching in her leg.

Please pray for Peyton Almond, who has a nuclear stress test this morning.

Please pray for Sis. Michelle’s walk with God and that His perfect will for her life will be made clear to her.

Remember all the unspoken prayer request of each heart.

Words of Encouragement

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. (Also read 1 Samuel 25:2-17 Conflict and Courage for June 11, CC 168.)

Ephesians 4:14, 15 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.  (Also read With God at Dawn for June 11, WGD 164.)
