Worship: Seven Women Take Hold of One Man / Wellness: The Berkey Water Filter

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake
Isaiah 4:1-4, says Pastor Flemons, is a prophecy that helps us understand the end of time, as it relates to apostate Protestants and Sunday. The seven women, representing the various denominations, only wanted to be called by the name of the church in authority. Still, they wanted to keep their own denominational identity.

According to the prophetic reading in Word to the Little Flock, that is exactly what the Pope allows churches to do, as long as they simply honor the mark of Catholicism’s authority: Sunday as Sabbath. Specifically, “the Beast that changed the Sabbath, and the Image Beast [that] had followed on after, [] kept the Pope’s, and not God’s Sabbath. And all we were required to do, was to give up God’s Sabbath, and keep the Pope’s, and then we should have the mark of the Beast, and of his image.” {WLF 19.1}

“All the Protestant denominations eventually will keep Sunday. But God will have a remnant that will be faithful,” adds Pastor Flemons. The remnant is referred to as a beautiful branch, comely, and escaped of Israel in verse 2 of Isaiah 4. Verse 3 refers to the importance of keeping our names in the Lamb’s book of Life, he says. Verse 4 refers to the Investigative Judgment and the fiery trials we must pass through that refine us. When we fully give ourselves to God, we receive Gospel promises of pardon for past sins and power to live godly in the future.

“It’s not about a denomination,” he says. It’s about remaining faithful and not being dependent upon any organization. Denominations are simply vehicles that are to take God’s people in the right direction. When the wrong course is taken, then God’s faithful people will not follow, but powerfully stand firm upon the Word of God.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, and Sis. Maria discussed and demonstrated the Berkey water filtration system. Their Berkey is a 2-gallon portable water filtration system that packs easily in carry-on bags, with “room to spare,” says Pastor Flemons. Sis. Maria added that the travel version holds about one gallon.

It does not soften water. However, it is great for water purification. It uses charcoal as its purification base. It also uses microfiltration with millions of microscopic pores that absorb 99.9% of the fluoride that passes through it and removes heavy metals and chlorine, as well as viruses, fungi, and bacteria. It simply purifies whatever kind of water that is placed in it, be it city water or water from a stream.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria shared more powerful readings from the book Power of Prayer, a collection of Ellen G. White writings on prayer. Specifically from Chapter 16, “Prayer and Rejoicing,” page 57, the readings emphasized four points: 1. that “The melody of praise is the atmosphere of heaven;” 2. that “With a song, Jesus in His earthly life met temptation“; 3. “with songs of thanksgiving He cheered His hours of labor, and brought heaven’s gladness to the toil-worn and disheartened“—The Ministry of Healing, 52; and 4. “Song is a weapon that we can always use against discouragement.” (The links lead to another source for the same message. Does the water filter provide alkaline water or distilled? The answer is that it simply filters whatever water is placed in it.
