Worship: The Character and Aims of the Papacy, Pt 7 / Wellness: Pain/Stress/Sleep Tea for Insomnia

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake No one should be courting the favor of the Catholic Church, says Pastor Flemons.

“[]Romanism as a system is no more in harmony with the gospel of Christ now than at any former period in her history. The Protestant churches are in great darkness, or they would discern the signs of the times. The Roman Church is far-reaching in her plans and modes of operation. She is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done. Catholicism is gaining ground upon every side. [See Appendix, Note 10.] See the increasing number of her churches and chapels in Protestant countries. Look at the popularity of her colleges and seminaries in America, so widely patronized by Protestants. Look at the growth of ritualism in England, and the frequent defections to the ranks of the Catholics. These things should awaken the anxiety of all who prize the pure principles of the gospel.” {GC88 565.3}

“Protestants have tampered with and patronized popery; they have made compromises and concessions which papists themselves are surprised to see, and fail to understand. Men are closing their eyes to the real character of Romanism, and the dangers to be apprehended from her supremacy. The people need to be aroused to resist the advances of this most dangerous foe to civil and religious liberty.” {GC88 566.1}

“. . . The religious service of the Romish Church is a most impressive ceremonial. Its gorgeous display and solemn rites fascinate the senses of the people, and silence the voice of reason and of conscience. The eye is charmed. . . .{GC88 566.2}

Even the SDA Church has become fascinated and is courting the favor of the Roman Catholic Church. Seventh-day Adventists once took an official Protestant stand against the Roman Catholic Church. Now it affirms that it has consigned that attitude to the “historical trash heap.” No denomination, no organization is going through to Heaven. That is the deception, says Pastor Flemons. Individuals are going.

The Gospel promises two primary things: pardon and power. We can all be forgiven, and we can all be overcomers. We can be forgiven of sin, and we can overcome sin. That is the Gospel. Believe God, not man. Those who overcome will sit with God in His kingdom. It is all about a foundational and thriving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that sometimes you need a little extra help for sleeping well through the night. Very often we are lacking in the brain chemical melatonin. Melatonin, therefore, is a very good supplement to help you get good sleep. Although it comes as a tablet, it also comes in sublingual form, which Pastor Flemons prefers. He says take it just prior to bedtime for good rest.

And remember this. The same herbs that are great for pain will also calm stress and anxiety, and promote restful sleep, says Pastor Flemons. These herbs–Valerian Root, White Willow Bark, Peach Leaves, Feverfew, Scullcap, and optionally, Stevia–are combined in TOR’s PainX, StressY, SleepZzzz formula, which is available as a tea or tonic. Take a strong dose of it before going to bed, he says. It is great as a tea or tonic. And he says that you can take even three tablespoons of it, and you will not overdose.
