Crumbs, Dogs and Blood

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake
Jesus inferred that the syrophencian woman was a dog only to teach us all a wonderful spiritual lesson

The syrophonecian woman of Matt. 15:22-28 was ignored, refused, referred to as a dog and then rewarded because of her great faith.

This was one of the special highlights of Jesus ministry, for his apparent refusals which would have offended most people, actually caused present and future lessons to be more powerfully rendered.

The woman understood the great power of God and that the healing of her child was but a crumb from the Master’s table. This simply means that she knew that He was capable of much more. Jesus let her that He was willing to give her much more than crumbs by commending her faith as great faith.

The only other time faith was called great faith was with the Centurion whose servant was sick. This soldier said, “I am a man under authority,” meaning that I must take verbal orders, “with soldiers under me,” meaning that I give verbal orders. He explained by saying that when he orders soldiers to come and go, they must obey the order. As He understood Jesus to be a divine being, He knew that all Christ had to do was to give the verbal order and the child would be healed. The Bible indicates that Jesus marveled which shows great surprise. Jesus did not marvel because the man had faith, for Joshua’s faith caused the sun to stand still. Moses’s faith opened the Red Sea. Elijah’s faith called down fire from heaven. Seeing displays of faith was no surprise to the King of Kings. What caused Him to marvel was that He could not find this kind of faith in His own church. Read Luke 7:1-9.

There’s more to the dog and the crumbs. Jesus later told a parable of Lazarus who ate crumbs from the rich man’s table and dogs came to him to lick his sores. That means that the dogs were under the table as well. Why did they lick his sores? It was to taste the blood. Even though Jesus referred to the woman as a dog, He was actually showing that she had a need of a Savior for dogs seek after blood. This represents the blood of Jesus which was spilled on Calvary. Read Luke 16:21.

Worship: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of Biblical wellness encouraged us to use coffee enemas during the fast. Use 3 T of organic ground coffee to 1 quart of water. Boil it for 15 minutes. Strain it. Let it cool. But never use cold coffee. Use at least 8 ozs per enema treatment. Lay on your right side for 15 minutes. Eight ounces is a therapeutic amount, he says. (Listen to the recording for important details and instructions.)

Sister Maria encourages us to use the TORSOE Lean Green Juice for general cleaning.

1 Bunch of kale

1 Stalk of celery

Sharing and Caring Time  Sis. Maria gave us the second step in what she calls the “The Cleansing Prayer.”

  • “Ask God to reveal anything that has separated you from Him. This may include wrong behavior, negative thoughts, sinful feelings, wrong desires, criticism, resentment, and bitterness or painful memories” These painful memories can date back to our childhood.

Ask our heavenly father to reveal any sin; hurtful memories; negative, sinful behavior; thoughts; feelings; or motives that you may be harboring in your heart. Wait quietly before him allowing him to speak to your heart.

Claim Daniel 2:22; Ps. 139:23,24; Ps. 26:2; Ps. 27:8; Ps. 44:21

Additional quotes on the power of prayer were also shared:

The Source Of Healing

The desire of God for every human being is expressed in the words, ‘Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.’ 3 John 2. He it is who ‘forgiveth all thine iniquities; who health all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowned the the with loving kindness and tender mercies.” Psalms 103:3,4 (The Ministry of Healing page 113)

Cooperation with God necessary

The physician should teach his patients that they are to cooperate with God in the work of restoration.. He knows that the laws of nature as truly as the precepts of the Decalogue, are divine, and that only in obedience to them can health be recovered or preserved. He sees many suffering as a result of hurtful practices who might be restored to health if they would do what they might for their own restoration.. They need to be taught that every practice which destroys physical. mental. or spiritual energy is sin and that health is to be secured through obedience to the laws that God has established for the good of mankind. (Ministry of healing page 113)
