Worship: Judgment and Mercy / Wellness: Supertonic

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The Bible reveals that God is a God of tender mercies. As high as Heaven is above Earth, so great is God’s mercy toward those who show Him reverence. As far as the east is from the west, that is how far away He has removed our transgressions from us. He is that kind of gracious.

He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He is slow to become angry with us. And He does not keep anger for ever. He does not deal with us according to what we deserve. He remembers that we are dust and deals with us with loving pity. He considers our background and our capabilities. He knows our frame, our weaknesses, whether they be physical or emotional, and He deals with us accordingly. As we deal with each other, He wants us to keep in mind the way He deals with us.

Abundant in goodness, “God is nine-tenths merciful,” says Pastor Flemons. Yet, He is a God of justice. And He will “by no means clear the guilty.” Pastor Flemons says that it is only when we have rejected all the longsuffering mercies of God that God’s justice is all that remains for us to receive.

[For additional details, please read Hebrews 4:15; Psalm 10387:6; 86:13; Exodus 33:18, 19; 34:6, 7; Genesis 18:25. Also read “The Judgment Seat, a Mercy Seat” in Path to the Throne of God, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck. (PTG 190 original. PTG 259 latest edition. PTG 144, 145 online.) And listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 99, “God Will Take Care of You.”]

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that when we are tired it is generally because we don’t eat enough raw foods and because the toxins in the foods we do eat weigh us down and slow us down. Pastor Flemons recommends TOR’s AAA Supertonic daily for energy. Here’s why:

Supertonic is a superfood that contains Moringa, Mangosteen, Noni, Wheatgrass, Rice Bran, Astragalus, Spirulina, Peppermint, Elutherococcus, Alfalfa, Echinacea, Acai Berry, Barley Grass, Bee Pollen, Stevia, Ginseng.

Moringa, Mangosteen, Acai Berry and Noni are tropicals known to build the immune system to help fight infection and keep the toxins at bay, says Pastor Flemons. They all have antioxidant properties. He says, “That gives you energy.” Wheatgrass, he says, and barley grass are detoxifiers that are power-packed with nutrition. Rice bran keeps the bowels open and flowing. If you are constipated, says Pastor Flemons, you will be sluggish.

Astragalus is another immune system booster and provides energy. Spirulina is an excellent source of protein. Peppermint nourishes and calms your nerves. Elutherococcus, formerly called Siberian ginseng, and another ginseng are both in Supertonic. They do what caffeine does without the negative effects.

The alfalfa is highly nutritious and fights oxidative stress. Echinacea fights infection. Bee pollen is another energy booster. And of course, Stevia is a sweetener that is optional when ordering Supertonic.

Words of Encouragement

Genesis 5:5  And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. (Also read Conflict and Courage, CC 22.)

Proverbs 8:17  I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (Also read With God at Dawn, WGD 18.)

Worship and Wellness: Old and New Garments

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “God’s promises are conditional,” says Pastor Flemons. When we are unfaithful, God cannot do for us what He desires to do. It causes a breach in God’s promises. For example, the children of Israel had to take forty years to complete an eleven-day journey, because they failed to meet the condition to receive His promise within eleven days.

What God gave to us, His church, in the beginning is the right thing. If it is corrupted or spoiled, it is our own fault and of our own choosing. There is then need for repair or restoration. But it would be better, if we keep our garments holy, as they came from God. Then there would be no need for restoration. For no one puts a new garment in the tear of an old garment. Garments in Scripture refer to character.

“What good things we have received in 2018 from God, we need to hold on and not lose them to the devil,” says Pastor Flemons. “Stay faithful to your charge,” he says. “Carry your character development into 2019.”

The emphasis is not on a new garment. It’s not always a new thing that is important. Rather, it is on the restoration of the old that matters, says Pastor Flemons. It is the old that was good in the beginning. The seventh-day Sabbath was good from its beginning. A new first-day Sabbath is not needed. Restore the old one. Remembering the Sabbath that God gave in the beginning is what matters to God.

[For additional details, please read Matthew 9:16; Numbers 14:34; Isaiah 58:12; Revelation 16:15; and Matthew 22:11. Also, listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 289, “The Savior Is Waiting.”]

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that we should be more committed to the REFRESHING way lifestyle. He went through the principles of the REFRESHING Way and encouraged everyone to persevere or to recommit, if they have faltered. He then prayed a prayer of commitment that we all hold on to the good habits and let go of the old.

We should take more time to read God’s Word and then rely on Him more trustingly. We should determine to eat a healthier diet. We should determine to get fresh air, rest and exercise most consistently. We should determine to use greater self-control, get out in the sun more frequently, be more committed about never giving up, and giving to others more often.

Galatians 6:9 is the message he quoted for us today: “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Sharing Time  Pastor Flemons began the final segment by singing, “A Merry Heart Doeth Good Like a Medicine.” Listener 2596 gave a praise testimony about her family coming together to do some practical things for their mother and to give their mother her flowers while she is still alive to enjoy them. Sis. Audrey gave a testimony of praise for God protecting her mother during a fall last night, from keeping her from any broken bones and for protecting her daughter from a more serious injury.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today listener 2922, who has struggled with healthy habits but remains determined. She asks for our prayers that God gives her strength, courage, perseverance, and self-control. She wants to be closer to God in every way. Also remember her husband and the rest of her family in prayer. Sis. Odessa asked for prayer for a depressed and grieving friend, Bonnie, who lost her son and husband. Bonnie was temporarily missing, but has been found, hospitalized, and isolated. Please pray for her healing.

Words of Encouragement

Hebrews 10:37, 38  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Also read Ye Shall Receive Power, YRP 374.)

1 Timothy 4:12   Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (Also read My Life Today, ML 121.)

Worship: Christians, Colorful Cosmetics, Jewelry, and Flashy Clothes #6 / Wellness: Fresh Air Best Practices

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jezebel, daughter of the high priest of Baal, was a specialist in seduction. She was known as one who painted her face and whose witchcrafts were many. Known also for her whoredoms, Jezebel seduced and married Ahab, the king of Israel, who was already weak in moral power. But through the influence of Jezebel, Ahab set himself apart from all other kings of Israel.

“There was none like unto Ahab,” who “did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.” 1 Kings 21:25, 26. {PK 114.3}

“Not only did Ahab introduce Baal worship at the capital city, but under the leadership of Jezebel he erected heathen altars in many “high places,” where in the shelter of surrounding groves the priests and others connected with this seductive form of idolatry exerted their baleful influence, until well-nigh all Israel were following after Baal.”

The terrible evil that resulted from the union of King Ahab and Jezebel was such that God commanded that all of their descendants be destroyed. Notably, one of the distinctive components of her seductive strategies was to paint her face and sit to be seen.

[For additional details, please read 2 Kings 9:22, 30-37; 1 Kings 16:29-33; 2 Chronicles 23:8, 12; PK 114, 115, 215, 216. Also, listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons and hear him sing “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared points about how to get fresh air daily.

  1. 1. Spend as much time as possible out of doors or exposed to fresh air.
  2. 2. Learn to breathe deeply. When you inhale, your stomach should go out. When you exhale, your stomach should go in.
  3. 3. Breathe in air that is as pure as possible. Country air is much healthier than the polluted air in the cities.
  4. 4. Ensure that there is pure air circulating in the home or work place during the day and night.
  5. 5. Don’t sleep under a draft. Maintain the circulation of fresh air at all times by opening at least two windows across from each other in the home.
  6. 6. Always provide fresh air for those recovering from illness. It is especially important to their full recovery.
  7. 7. Avoid inhaling fumes, cigarette smoke, and other toxic chemicals.
  8. 8. Remove dead leaves that are close around the home. Dead leaves poison the air with a toxic miasma.
  9. 9. Go out in nature and enjoy the scenes of God’s beauty as much as possible. This will inspire you with thoughts of His magnificent power. It will be clear to you to reason that since God is able to make all of these (majestic mountains, thundering waterfalls, towering forests, colorful flowers), then surely God is able to heal you of all your diseases. The fact that He provides us with such beauty proves that He is concerned about each of us.

Fresh air is the third wellness principle of the REFRESHING Way lifestyle.  REFRESHING stands for Rely on God. Eat healthy. Fresh air. Rest. Exercise. Self-Control (temperance). H2O (drink water). In the sun. Never give up. Give to others.

(For more details, please listen to the recording and you will also hear Pastor Flemons sing “Somebody Bigger Than You and I.”)

Sharing Time  Sis. Odessa gave a testimony of praise. And Sis. Rosemary shared her concern about drivers giving emergency vehicles clearance to quickly move uninhibited through traffic.

Thanksgiving Day will be a day of testimonies. Please prepare yours!

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers call-in listener 2922, who asked that we keep her family (son and husband) in prayer–for their unity and spirituality, their strength and courage to overcome sin and Satan. Sis. Odessa asks for prayer as she travels and that we all pray for each other.

Pray also for those undergoing surgery today. Pray for all grieving families (especially widows and widowers). Pray for those fighting for their lives and those fighting depression and other mental conditions. Also pray for people living in areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters, like earthquakes, sinkholes, floods, ice storms, and wildfires.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you!
