Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Jesus told His disciples that He desired to eat that Passover with them before He was to suffer, meaning His crucifixion. Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper to show His death: His broken body and His blood, shed for the salvation of all who would receive it. He did not institute any ceremony that claims the bread is miraculously turned into His actual body or the wine into His actual blood. “That is witchcraft,” says Pastor Flemons. “Knowing that the Passover as a sacred ordinance was about to pass away, Jesus now instituted the Lord’s Supper ‘as a memorial of the same event of which the Passover had been a type.’ PP 539. The paschal lamb had pointed forward to His death; the Lord’s Supper was to point back, commemorative of His broken body and His spilled blood. Luke 22:16-20.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, calls fasting “feasting.” That’s because of the high nutrition extracted from the vegetables and fruits when juiced. Sometimes it is necessary to do a water-only fast for therapeutic reasons. Dieting only on raw foods is just one of the special types of fasting. But he says that juice feasting or fasting allows the body to eliminate toxins and reset the body in its proper balance. That is why we fast, rather feast. Beyond that, we feast to get closer to God. Words of Encouragement
1 John 1:6-7 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (Read also 5T 135.1-135.2.)
“I heard you…” Father, thank You for making it impossible to walk in darkness and in light at the same time! Thank You for Your presence which keeps darkness at bay. I am so glad and grateful that You want only what is best for me. Please continue to prosper me temporally and spiritually and keep me in health, according to your plans and will for my life.
