Worship: The Significance of Brass / Wellness: Benefits of a Salt Glow

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  About 9,000 pounds of brass was used in building the pillars of the wilderness sanctuary during Israel’s journey to the Promised Land. (Read Exodus 38:29-31). (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake   Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, mentioned six benefits of a simple treatment, using a slushy mix of Epsom salt and water. It can ease stress and lower blood pressure, ease sore muscles, prevent hardening of the arteries, increase insulin output in diabetics, eliminate toxins from the skin, and increase circulation. The magnesium in the Epsom salt calms the nerves. The slush is applied to dry skin a handful at a time, with frequent refills. It is not done over a blood clot. The treatment is to rub in circular motions while moving toward the heart. It is best to begin at the feet and move upward toward the groin but skipping it and continuing with the torso, neck, back and arms. It is best to have someone else do the treatment, but it can be self-applied. A video of the Meals Over Pills health seminar includes a demo of a salt glow treatment. It is available here on FaceBook.

Sharing Time  Pastor answered questions, including a question about the baking soda soak, which provides alkalinity. Pastor Flemons invited everyone to attend the next scheduled Meals Over Pills presentation March 31 at Rescue the Perishing Second Advent Church, 210 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372.

Words of Encouragement

2 Corinthians 12:8, 9  For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
