Worship: Stop Killing! / Wellness: 5 Foods that Fight Aging

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Killing is not just literally taking someone’s life. It is much broader than that. The sixth commandment, “Thou shalt not kill,” is spiritual. (Read Romans 7:14.) (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says soybeans, carrots, cruciferous vegetables, flaxseed and its oil and chia seeds (rather than salmon), as well as citrus fruits: all help fight aging. He shared some info about them from a MedicalNewsToday.com article. (Read more below.)

(NOTE: Before following any advice given here, please read our disclaimer on this page.)

QTQT  Pastor Flemons responded to a question about helping an infant fight against colds and flu.

Special Prayer for call-in listener 3062, Janice (fibroids), Annette (grandbaby), and Christine (strength to get to church today).

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.

Words of Encouragement

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22  Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Daniel 7: Four Beasts / Juice Feasting

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Focusing on the first fourteen verses of Daniel 7, Pastor Flemons commented on and identified the kingdoms each beast represents. The winds in this passage refer to difficult times and bloodshed. (Read companion texts Jeremiah 49:36 and Revelation 7:1-3.) The seas, according to Revelation 17:15, is a symbol for peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Juice feasting, rather than fasting, describes the temporary diet of primarily green vegetables juiced (not blended). It increases nutrition with fewer calories. It is full of micronutrients. It builds the immune system, helps rid the body of toxins, and provide lots of enzymes to help the body do the work of healing as designed.

Q&A  Questions were answered covering these topics: the remedy for high cholesterol, using fresh lemon juice as an eyewash one year after cataract surgery, addressing arthritis and knee swelling, juicing vegetable combination, juicing versus smoothies, and skin-tightening remedy after weight loss. For example, we learned that adding chia seeds to the diet will help tighten the skin. And TOR provides a wonderful topical: skin mender.
