Worship: For Heaven’s Sake On the table of shewbread was set two rows of large cakes or loaves, six in each row. Pure frankincense was put upon each row. It was on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the Lord at the end of each week.” Frankincense also burned daily on the golden altar or altar of prayer. “It represented the righteousness of Christ, which, mingled with sincere prayer is given to those who eat the Bread of life ‘continually.’ It taught the lesson that ‘never should the Bible be studied without prayer.’ When the Bible is studied without prayer, we are told that Satan stands ready to suggest error, or belittle the sacredness of the Word.” But the righteousness of Christ “is promised to all who give prayerful study to the Word.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed the work of medical missionaries during the last days. He also shared two readings from Counsels on Health and Luke 9:1,2, which provide the mandate Jesus gave to all believers. All of Christ’s disciples have been given “power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick” (Luke 9:1,2). Today, “as religious aggression subverts the liberties of our nation,” God’s people must use every opportunity to become “intelligent in regard to disease, its causes, prevention, and cure.” The time is hastening in which the only field of labor for ministers will be the work of medical missionaries. (For further details, please listen to the recording and read the passages found in Counsels on Health: CH 506 and CH 533.)

Words of Encouragement
Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:15, 16 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Also read Pr 21.)
