Worship: We All Need a Sanctuary / Wellness: Why We Need Wellness Retreats

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  A sanctuary is a place set apart for a sacred purpose. It is a place of refuge from the demands, troubles and concerns of life—for quiet communion with God. The Lord, Himself, is a refuge and fortress. Read Psalm 91. He is a place for hiding and a place of protection. He is our strength (Psalm 46:1). From communion with God, one can emerge with sobriety and vigilance and solid purpose, every day. The literal home sanctuary can be a closet, a corner, an area on one’s desk. Nevertheless, it must be guarded. The sacred must be separated always from the secular, says Pastor Flemons. In the sanctuary, in God, through prayerful study of God’s word is understanding and guidance. Read Psalm 73. And yes.”Prayer itself is a sanctuary,” says Pastor Flemons.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  A wellness retreat is a getaway place for healing, says Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness. Wellness retreats are needed, because they offer guests a sanctuary of healing. They offer guests the concentrated opportunity to learn how to allow natural healing to happen or to become fully healthy and how to help others do the same, all without the distractions and demands of normal routines. It can be a vacation to be pampered to full health, both physically and spiritually, and it can be a time to learn how to help establish wellness retreats around the world. Times of Refreshing Wellness Ministry will hold its next wellness retreat February 25 through March 15. Call 855-867-4600 for further details and arrangements.

Words of Encouragement

Galatians 6:1, 2   Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

James 4:11, 12  Speak not evil one of another, brethren, He that speaketh evil of his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
