Worship: The Controversy Ended, Pt 3 / Wellness: Starving on a Full Stomach

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “While the earth was wrapped in the fire of destruction, the righteous abode safely in the Holy City. Upon those that had part in the first resurrection, the second death has no power. While God is to the wicked a consuming fire, He is to His people both a sun and a shield. Revelation 20:6Psalm 84:11.” {GC 673.3} (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that people in America are starving, but usually not from a lack of food. They are starving for a lack of nutrition in the foods they are eating, no matter how much they stuff themselves at any given meal. He recommends eating more produce and more raw foods. He especially recommends eating sprouts, which are highly nutritious. “They are powerful!” he says. He eats them like potato chips and has remained healthy to meet his daily ministerial challenges. He also recommends supplementing daily with AAA Supertonic Superfood. It is packed with enough nutrition to feed the cells what they need in order to be healthy. We need to make sure we are getting all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need daily. “We don’t need to be starving on a full stomach.”

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 126:5-6  They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Psalm 126:1-2  When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen. The LORD hath done great things for them.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“In the Bible the inheritance of the saved is called ‘a country.’ Hebrews 11:14-16. There the heavenly Shepherd leads His flock to fountains of living waters. The tree of life yields its fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree are for the service of the nations. There are ever-flowing streams, clear as crystal, and beside them waving trees cast their shadows upon the paths prepared for the ransomed of the Lord. There the wide-spreading plains swell into hills of beauty, and the mountains of God rear their lofty summits. On those peaceful plains, beside those living streams, God’s people, so long pilgrims and wanderers, shall find a home. {GC 675.1}

“My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.’ ‘Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.’ ‘They shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: … Mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.’ Isaiah 32:1860:18Isaiah 65:21, 22{GC 675.2}

“There, ‘the wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.’ ‘Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree.’ ‘The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; … and a little child shall lead them.’ ‘They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,’ saith the Lord. Isaiah 35:155:13Isaiah 11:6, 9{GC 675.3}

“Pain cannot exist in the atmosphere of heaven. There will be no more tears, no funeral trains, no badges of mourning. ‘There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying: … for the former things are passed away.’ ‘The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.’ Revelation 21:4Isaiah 33:24{GC 676.1}

“There is the New Jerusalem, the metropolis of the glorified new earth, ‘a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.’ ‘Her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.’ ‘The nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it.’ Saith the Lord: ‘I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people.’ ‘The tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.’ Isaiah 62:3Revelation 21:11, 24Isaiah 65:19Revelation 21:3{GC 676.2}

“In the City of God ‘there shall be no night.’ None will need or desire repose. There will be no weariness in doing the will of God and offering praise to His name. We shall ever feel the freshness of the morning and shall ever be far from its close. ‘And they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light.’ Revelation 22:5. The light of the sun will be superseded by a radiance which is not painfully dazzling, yet which immeasurably surpasses the brightness of our noontide. The glory of God and the Lamb floods the Holy City with unfading light. The redeemed walk in the sunless glory of perpetual day. {GC 676.3}

‘I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.’ Revelation 21:22. The people of God are privileged to hold open communion with the Father and the Son. ‘Now we see through a glass, darkly.’ 1 Corinthians 13:12. We behold the image of God reflected, as in a mirror, in the works of nature and in His dealings with men; but then we shall see Him face to face, without a dimming veil between. We shall stand in His presence and behold the glory of His countenance. {GC 676.4}

“The great controversy is ended. Sin and sinners are no more. The entire universe is clean. One pulse of harmony and gladness beats through the vast creation. From Him who created all, flow life and light and gladness, throughout the realms of illimitable space. From the minutest atom to the greatest world, all things, animate and inanimate, in their unshadowed beauty and perfect joy, declare that God is love.” {GC 678.3}

Words of Encouragement

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Psalm 27:14  Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say, on the LORD.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Roseliz has a strong Catholic background. She grew up in Catholic school in Panama. Providentially, however, God directed her family to a Seventh-day Adventist school in Costa Rica at age 18. There she got questions answered about the Bible. She had always wanted to learn more about God. She believed the Bible was the Word of God.

She told of a time that she read some portion of the Book of Revelation and asked questions of the principal nun. The nun simply responded that she was not to worry about it. “Just follow what the priest says” was all she was told.

At the tender age of nine, she was impressed to pray. “Nobody taught me how to pray,” she confesses. But God hears the prayers of children. And as a result, in the SDA environment she learned Bible truths that corrected the customary errors that had governed her life. She learned Bible truths about the Sabbath and the state of the dead: that the dead know not anything (Ecclesiastes 9:5). It was painful for her to learn that it was all deception: the custom of believing that she could pray to Mary and her dead loved ones. “I was hurt,” she recalls.

Beyond that, she learned about the health message through one of the school’s professors, who would provide health consultations in his home. She was impressed. That information added to her early experiences with her mother’s family in Costa Rica, where the days began with hydrotherapy: brief cold showers followed by brisk outdoor towel rubs, even on cool sunny mornings. The family also believed in plain herbal teas, specifically chosen for the need, and healthy fruitful smoothies that included bananas and mangoes.

While still in Panama, Roseliz suffered bronchitis crises. It was then that God used a pulmonary specialist to provide critical information to Roseliz that as a medical missionary she remembers, adheres to, and currently shares with others: “Whenever you are sick, stay away from all sweets, because they drop the immune system.”

For Health’s Sake…

Shirley Feather of Arizona knew she needed help. She wasn’t following the health message. She was too busy with her very stressful job. That left nothing being done for the lump she had felt growing in her breast over the past year. Still, she was adamant about not going the medical route of radiation or chemo. She didn’t even want a biopsy. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness and naturopathy, concedes that biopsies only seed the cancer to spread in other areas of the body. He says lumps have been known to grow quite rapidly within 2 weeks after a biopsy. Medical literature confirms it, he insists.

Shirley heard about Times of Refreshing and believes God opened the way for her to attend the retreat. Immediately, she was placed on a 10-day juice feast, which kept her satisfied, never hungry. In fact, she says she had energy. Before the feast was finished, the lump in her breast was noticeably smaller. She had wondered if it were her imagination. Now she is certain. This has given her total faith in God’s way being “the right way” and that she will be “completely healed.”

Meanwhile, Roseliz has been attending to her needs with simple herbal teas, vegetable juices, hydrotherapy, massage therapy, enemas, charcoal and clay poultices, and rocket fuel, along with lots of raw meals, which she says can help in amazing ways without any medications or harsh treatments. Pastor Flemons says that “chronic conditions respond very well to a large amount of raw in the diet.” Roseliz says that sprouts are live foods that helps the body to be rid of toxins. At the same time, the body is satisfied without the feeling of fullness or bloating. Research show that broccoli sprouts are especially beneficial for overcoming cancer, says Pastor Flemons.

God’s way is “the natural way,” says Roseliz. She says that we should never forget, however, “that God is the only healer.” He just uses instruments– the natural way–to take care of the body temple.

“God’s ways are the best ways. … They work,” agrees Shirley. It’s been a wonderful experience for the both of them.
