Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The word trinity is not in the Bible, says Pastor Flemons, who affirms that he is not a trinitarian. The Bible does make it clear, however, and he does believe, that the Godhead are three persons. As you may have detected, there is a problem.
Just as the term “gay” in the dictionary once had no reference to sexual orientation, definitions change over time, says Pastor Flemons. The term trinity has changed meanings. As a doctrine, the term trinity does mean three, but three in one. Trinitarians believe that God is one God, but “three co-eternal, consubstantial persons,” says Pastor Flemons. This means that they are distinct personalities, but that the three are one substance, like conjoined triplets. Catholicism’s definition of trinity is not simply three. It is the doctrine of three in one–again, as are conjoined twins or triplets. Pastor Flemons adds that those who believe that there are only two beings, God the Father and God the Son, who send forth the Holy Spirit–not as a separate being, but as a conjoined part of the other–are just as Catholic in their doctrine.
Pastor Flemons, who has begun today with this presentation a series of studies on the Holy Spirit, says, “That is not what the Bible teaches.” To begin with, he says, read John 16:13. Clearly, the Holy Spirit is an individual. Consequently, Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) pioneers preached against the doctrine of the trinity as defined by Catholicism. Later, says Pastor Flemons, SDA leaders, under pressure to prove that the SDA Church is not a cult, accepted the use of the term trinity. Nevertheless, the doctrine of SDAs remain Bible-based, as there being three individual personalities.
Read the word of God. You will see that there are three separate beings who are God and who are one as are husband and wife. They have the same family name, as do individual members of a family. They are God: God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit.

Worship: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed hypertension and consuming refined foods like white flour products. Eating refined foods lead to constipation. This causes toxins to be dumped back into the blood. Because blood passes through the liver for detoxification, a major burden is placed on the liver to rid the body of the excess toxins, says Pastor Flemons. This raises the pressure of the blood.
Eating refined foods also raises the sugar level too quickly, which then gets dropped too quickly once large amounts of insulin are produced in response to the high sugar level. This activity causes a flight-or-fight mechanism, which creates stress on the adrenal glands, as though you were “attacked by a bear.” The blood vessels constrict. Blood flow is inhibited. Blood pressure is raised.
Finally, eating too many refined foods, including sugar, weakens the immune system. This creates inflammation, which causes a buildup of cholesterol plaque in the arteries. Again, because the arteries are narrowed and blood flow is constricted, blood pressure is raised.

Words of Encouragement
Genesis 13:8, 9 Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou will take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
