Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Christians are spiritual warriors. As soldiers in the army of God, redemption money in silver was required of the Israelites old enough to go to war. The silver was to be brought to the sanctuary. This signified that for every warrior, something must be sacrificed. Something must be given up for Christ. Every other gift for the sanctuary was voluntary. The silver was used for the sockets that held the sanctuary boards: two sockets for each board, with each socket weighing about 100 pounds. Thus, “two hundred pounds, or more, of silver formed the foundation for each of the forty-eight boards. . . . Counting the four silver sockets under the four pillars that support the second vail, there were in all one hundred sockets of silver. Thus the total weight of the silver sockets (100 talents) was at least 10,000 pounds. . . ”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that generally speaking people tend to eat all day long. They eat meals and then snack between meals, all the while eating too much. As a result, more often than not, the body is really thirsty when hunger pangs are felt. So when you know you should not eat at a time when you are feeling hungry, drink water. Every day, the body has a minimum requirement of water equivalent to one-half of your body’s weight in ounces. For example, a 100-pound person needs to drink a minimum of 50 ounces of water daily. Remember, not all hunger pangs are hunger pangs. The digestive system may simply be exhausted and crying out its need of water. (For further details, please listen to the recording and read this special report: Your Body’s many Cries for Water.)

Sharing Time Pastor Flemons responded to a comment about Christians bombed in Nigeria. He also briefly discussed tribulation and persecution and answered a question about Christianity. Hear it for yourself.

Words of Encouragement
Deuteronomy 4:30-31 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (for the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he share unto them.
Jeremiah 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. (Also read 4bSG 62.2. )
