Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The manner of Jesus is to be ours. In the face of false accusation and demonic emotionalism that swayed justice, He stood firm and unmoved with a serenity that convicted His judges of His innocence. Sadly, they lacked the moral courage to do the right thing. The moral courage and strength Jesus exhibited must be ours, even at the risk of an unjust penalty of death. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says “Many people can cure diabetes type 2 within as little as 30 days.” But it will take a commitment to changing your diet and lifestyle. (Read more below.)

Special Prayer was offered for call-in listener: 5613, who lost an aunt to bone cancer. He is requesting that we pray for his uncle (Pastor Williams) and family. Pray for one of our listeners who is fighting a brain tumor. Please continue praying for the current juice feast group in Indianapolis and the new group that is forming.

Also, pray for a family friend of Sister Audrey, who is in ICU. Also pray that grandson, Alex, gets healthy. He is home sick today.

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 119:165  Great peace have they that love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Psalm 125:1,2  They that trust in the LORD Shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for  ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“In the judgment hall of Pilate, the Roman governor, Christ stands bound as a prisoner. About Him are the guard of soldiers, and the hall is fast filling with spectators. Just outside the entrance are the judges of the Sanhedrin, priests, rulers, elders, and the mob. DA 723.1

“After condemning Jesus, the council of the Sanhedrin had come to Pilate to have the sentence confirmed and executed. But these Jewish officials would not enter the Roman judgment hall. According to their ceremonial law they would be defiled thereby, and thus prevented from taking part in the feast of the Passover. In their blindness they did not see that murderous hatred had defiled their hearts. They did not see that Christ was the real Passover lamb, and that, since they had rejected Him, the great feast had for them lost its significance. DA 723.2

“Pilate looked at the men who had Jesus in charge, and then his gaze rested searchingly on Jesus. He had had to deal with all kinds of criminals; but never before had a man bearing marks of such goodness and nobility been brought before him. On His face he saw no sign of guilt, no expression of fear, no boldness or defiance. He saw a man of calm and dignified bearing, whose countenance bore not the marks of a criminal, but the signature of heaven. DA 724.1

“Pilate was not a just or a conscientious judge; but weak though he was in moral power, he refused to grant this request. He would not condemn Jesus until a charge had been brought against Him. DA 725.3

“The priests were in a dilemma. They saw that they must cloak their hypocrisy under the thickest concealment. They must not allow it to appear that Christ had been arrested on religious grounds. Were this put forward as a reason, their proceedings would have no weight with Pilate. They must make it appear that Jesus was working against the common law [or common good]; then He could be punished as a political offender. Tumults and insurrection against the Roman government were constantly arising among the Jews. With these revolts the Romans had dealt very rigorously, and they were constantly on the watch to repress everything that could lead to an outbreak. DA 725.4

“Standing behind Pilate, in view of all in the court, Christ heard the abuse; but to all the false charges against Him He answered not a word. His whole bearing gave evidence of conscious innocence. He stood unmoved by the fury of the waves that beat about Him. It was as if the heavy surges of wrath, rising higher and higher, like the waves of the boisterous ocean, broke about Him, but did not touch Him. He stood silent, but His silence was eloquence. It was as a light shining from the inner to the outer man.” DA 726.3

Nevertheless, Pilate allowed a golden opportunity to pass. He had a desire to know the truth. But he allowed moral cowardice to rule under moblike pressure. He, like Herod, found no fault in Jesus. In their hearts, they knew He was God. Yet, neither of them would release Him for fear of the people, among whom were demons in human form stirring emotions to a beastly frenzy. Both coveted their positions. In the end, Pilate succumbed to the repeated roar of “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” All the while, Jesus, now with blood oozing down his face and lacerated back, bearing exhaustion and pain, stood still. “Every feature expressed gentleness and resignation and the tenderest pity for His cruel foes. . . . Even the priests and rulers were convicted that He was all that He claimed to be.” DA 735.4

“Pilate yielded to the demands of the mob. Rather than risk losing his position, he delivered Jesus up to be crucified. But in spite of his precautions, the very thing he dreaded afterward came upon him. His honors were stripped from him, he was cast down from his high office, and, stung by remorse and wounded pride, not long after the crucifixion he ended his own life. So all who compromise with sin will gain only sorrow and ruin. ‘There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.'” Prov. 14:12. DA 738.3

(This study is based on Matthew 27:2, 11-31; Mark 15:1-20; Luke 23:1-25; John 18:28-40; John 19:1-16; and chapter 77, “In Pilate’s Judgment Hall” in The Desire of Ages (DA), by Ellen G. White.)

For Health’s Sake…

Diabetes type 2 is elevated sugar in the blood or hyperglycemia. It is also called adult onset diabetes, because it is developed in adulthood. That is because it is a dietary and lifestyle disease. And it can be corrected by diet and lifestyle.

The elevated sugar in the blood is a result of a diet high in acid and fat. These toxins and fat coat the cells of the body, which then refuse to allow sugar into the cell. This leaves an elevated amount of sugar in the blood.

To correct this, Pastor Flemons recommends drinking 48 to 96 ounces per day of green juice. Half of the juice should be light green vegetables (like cucumbers or celery). One-fourth of the juice should be dark green vegetables (like string beans, because they have a natural insulin, and kale or spinach, etc.). The final fourth of the juice should be the seasonings of fresh squeezed lemon juice, a Granny Smith apple, and a little ginger. If there is room, add more juice of light green vegetables. Also stop eating meat and dairy and other acidic foods. GTF Chromium and TOR’s Diabetez (in tonic or tea form) are also very good to include in the regimen. Just follow the directions.

No doubt this green juice protocol (or one similar) is being followed daily by a group in Indianapolis, who gathered about ten days ago to watch the documentary, “What the Health.” That jump-started their 14-day juice feast to reset their bodies. According to Carlene Archie, group leader, the members are still committed to their regimen. Pains are leaving. Pounds are dropping. The plan is to meet in about four days for a closeout fellowship with “some good food!”

Good health by diet and lifestyle, which we call biblical wellness, is becoming contagious. Carlene’s announcement confirms it. Another group is forming. The date is set for Sunday, August 20. Interest is growing to the point that larger location is being sought to house the numbers expected. She says, “The goal is to help as many as possible.”
