Worship: Filled with the Holy Spirit, What It Really Means / Wellness: Old Lives Matter

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake   When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will have the mind and character and faith of Jesus Christ, who always does that which well pleases God, the Father, and blesses mankind. (Read Luke 3:21-23 and 1 Corinthians 2:10-16.) When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will have a love of truth, for He is the Spirit of Truth, who will guide you into all truth. (Read John 16:13.) You will repent of any sin in your own life and reprove sin elsewhere. You will live a righteous life and encourage others to do so too. For you will be empowered to do the will of God. You will have wisdom and understanding, and everything you do will be done to the glory of God. (Read John 16:26; 1 Corinthians 2:12 and 13; 1 Corinthians 10:31; and John 16:14.) Finally, if you are doing something to show that you are filled the Holy Spirit, but you cannot imagine Jesus doing the same and certainly cannot support it with Scripture, you are not filled with the Holy Spirit. For the Holy Spirit does all things decently and in order and always does the will of God. God is not the author of confusion. (Read 1 Corinthians 14:22-40 and Exodus 31.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  “Antipsychotic drugs, such as haloperidol and risperidone are FDA-approved for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, but can increase the risk of death in older people who have dementia.” So reports an NPR.org article Pastor Flemons shared during broadcast time. Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, typically warns against any medication that is said to make a sick person well, but will make a well person sick, and in these cases, die. (Read more below.)

(NOTE: Before following any advice given here, please read our disclaimer on this page.)

Special Prayer for FB viewers: Michelle (mom, family to be saved), Serges (wife, shoulder pain), Marsha (mother’s health and care, sundowners).

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.
