Worship: Brass on the Altar / Wellness: Why Fast Weekly

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Brass signifies condemnation or judgment for disobedience, although it is also a symbol of strength and endurance. For God says to those who will not listen and obey, He “will make your earth as brass. . .for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits” (Leviticus 23:18, 19). Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Fasting once a week can add years to your life, says Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness. Just as a car naturally needs a tune-up or oil change from normal use, the body needs to be given a break in the form of fasting. Even if you eat perfectly, you will develop toxins in the body that need to be excreted. And the body, because of lifestyle habits, can get behind schedule and need help in ridding the body of toxins. It can develop autointoxication. Miss a meal and drink a smoothie or simply drink water. Give your body a break and fast once per week: more, if you have a health challenge. Times of Refreshing has chosen Wednesday as the weekly day of fasting. Join us!

Special Prayer for call-in listener 8691 (Pray for strength and courage and a Scottsboro, AL partner to do the work of the LORD.). Also, please pray for Sis. Odessa (strength to endure her grief of losing all three of her sons to cancer). And pray for victory to endure and overcome a particularly challenging trial for call-in listener 4693.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.

Words of Encouragement

Matthew 25:34-36  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Matthew 25:13  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
