Worship: After the Order of Melchizedek / Wellness: H. Pylori and Ulcers

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “Only God is safe with kingly power,” says Pastor Flemons. Kingly power typically rules over church and state. The high priest has such power. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says H. pylori is bacteria, which at high levels infect the stomach. At first, it can be asymptomatic. Eventually, however, it will cause the stomach lining to become sore. Ulcers develop. Mealtimes become a challenge. The stomach cannot tolerate typical foods. For that reason, TOR has developed an ulcer formula, called the Tummy Soother. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

Proverbs 2:1-5 My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
indeed, if you call out for insight
    and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jesus, as Lamb of God, was our sacrifice. Jesus, as Intercessor, is our Priest. But Jesus, our Advocate, is also our Judge. And in all these things He shares with us, says Pastor Flemons. Some of us might be sacrificed for the Truth. But He allows all of us to intercede in prayer for others. “At His ascension, He was anointed High Priest in the capacity of Intercessor. . . .The Holy Spirit also cooperates, earnestly pleading with fallen man. Rom. 8:26. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says you can eat good food, but have poor dietary habits that create a poor digestive system and still get sick. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

1 Timothy 5:19, 20  Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

1 Timothy 6:11, 12  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Worship: The Work of Priests / Wellness: A Drink A Day Takes Your Life Away

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Once saved always saved is not supported in Scripture. The Day of Atonement is proof. It was the day in which the high priest judged Israel. “The high priest under God acted not only as intercessor from day to day throughout the year, but he also judged Israel. This God indicated by the Urim and Thummin . . .  a ‘breastplate of judgment.’ Ex. 28:29, 30. The high priest’s work as judge was manifest especially on the day of Atonement, when God through him judged who were to be ‘cut off’ from Israel–those who had not afflicted their soul or had not observed the other requirements of God for the day, Lev. 23:27-29,–and those who were accounted worthy to be retained as God’s people.

“The priests were also teachers in Israel. Ed. 78. Under God, they also acted as rulers of the nation. Their ministry as rulers continued to the time of Samuel, when they demanded a king that they might be ‘like all the nations.” 1 Sam. 8:4,5, 19, 20. (Listen to the recording for more details.)

[This topic was based on “The Ministry of the Priests” in The Path to the Throne of God, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 64, 65 (pp 95, 96  new edition) (PTG online 47).]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  One drink a day of wine or any alcoholic beverage will shorten your lifespan, not extend it. What ever is good in wine is better in pure grape juice, says Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness. He then cleared the confusion and misunderstanding of Bible texts commonly used to support winebibbing. Please listen to the recording and read Isaiah 65:8; Proverbs 23:29-35; John 2:1-10; and 1 Timothy 5:23 to learn that new wine is unfermented grape juice and that fermented grape juice, which “moves by itself,” or sparkles, is addictive and is to be avoided. You will also learn that the wine Jesus made for the wedding was the fresh and pure juice of the grape, which was also recommended by Paul for a stomachache.

Special Prayer for call-in listener Sis. Angela (that God will grant her favor during her legal deposition today for the car accident she was in) and for Dr. Roy Malcolm, who has had a stroke and is in NICU in Huntsville, AL.

Post-broadcast request from a listener: Please pray for Stacey, who was in a car accident. The car was totaled. She is okay: just sore for now. “Pray that God will keep her from any ill effects.”

Philippians 2:14, 15  Do all things, without murmurings and disputing: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Romans 11:33  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Worship: Birthrights / Wellness: Antidepressants Are Addicting

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Every firstborn son in the tribe of Levi inherited rights to the priesthood. He would become the priest of the family. “The priesthood was established to represent the mediatorial character and work of Christ,” DA 165, who is the ‘firstborn of every creature.'” (Read Colossians 1:15 and listen to the recording for more details and to hear Pastor Flemons sing “Praise to the Lord.”)

Isaiah 57:19  I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

Isaiah 57:15  For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Adam and Eve were clothed with a garment of light until they sinned. The light then faded out. Artificial clothing then became necessary to cover their nakedness. God has an established standard that must be uplifted by believers. “‘Everything connected with the apparel and deportment of the priests was to be such as to impress the beholder with the sense of the holiness of God, the sacredness of His worship, and the purity required of those who came into His presence.’ PP 351. The fine white linen of which these simple beautiful garments were made, is a symbol of righteousness. Rev. 19:8. It represented the beauty of the character of Christ, of whom the priests were a type.” (Read Genesis 3:7; Deuteronomy 22:5; Revelation 19:8; 1 Peter 3:3, 4; 1 Timothy 2:9; Revelation 17:4,5; Philippians 3:13; James 1:6; Exodus 28:42; Revelation 3:18; and Psalm 104:2. Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says the health of the heart is impacted by how the body is covered. Fully and loosely covering the body is easier on the heart than it is when certain parts of the body are exposed. Covering the legs are more important to the health than is covering the arms. That is because the legs are farther away from the heart. The heart has to work harder to equalize the temperature of exposed legs to the rest of the body. Exposing the skin because it is hot is dangerous. It is cooler when the body is lightly but fully clothed. Tight clothing restricts blood flow. Material that holds in moisture, particularly in the breast region, raises the risk of breast cancer. Wearing 100 percent cotton is best. The issue and risks of deodorants that lock moisture in the body was another major point of discussion. (Please listen to the recording for other interesting details. And read more below for the promised quotes regarding dress titled “The American Costume.”)

James 1:27  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  What do people think about when they see your dress? says Pastor Flemons. Does it draw them nearer to Christ? “It is an awesome study to study about clothing,” he says. Priests wore holy garments, and no area of nakedness was unclothed. “Everything we wear ought to symbolize holiness,” he says. Glory represents character. But beauty represents holiness: not for our glory. It is for God’s glory. (Read Exodus 3:5; 28:3, 40, 42; Exodus 39:27, 29; John 19:23,27; Psalm 22:18; and Isaiah 11:5. Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that if researchers are concerned about depriving subjects of their research of vitamin D, then we ought to understand how important it is for life. Vitamin D is naturally gotten by spending time in the sunlight. Twenty minutes a day of sunlight on the face and hands are all that is required. Pastor shared more details of their research, as reported by a health.news article. Please listen to the recording.

Revelation 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 3:3  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Worship: Where Priests Ministered / Wellness: Understanding Hypoglycemia

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There was only one high priest, who ministered once a year in the Most Holy Place. The high priest represented Jesus, our High Priest, who ministers in the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary for us now. General priests conducted their service in the court and in the holy place only. “The Levites, though divinely set apart to assist the priests, never entered the sanctuary itself, except when the camp was moved from place to place, and even then only after all the furniture had been covered. . . . At other times, their service was confined to the court. An ordinary Israelite had access only to the court when he brought his sacrifice for sin. PP 353. During His life on earth, Christ Himself never entered either the holy place or the most holy place, because His work as a priest did not begin until His sacrificial work in the court of heart was finished. Then He began His ministry in the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary–in ‘heaven itself.'” (Read Hebrews 9:6, 7, 12, 24; Leviticus 16:17; Numbers 3:6, 9; 4:15, 20-33. By all means, listen to the recording for more and to hear Pastor Flemons sing “How Sweet the Name of Jesus.” )

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, “Most Americans have some level of hypoglycemia.” If you have cravings for a piece of candy, you likely are hypoglycemic. He described hypoglycemia as a roller coaster with its blood sugar levels of highs and lows. Normal blood sugar levels don’t have such extremes. Instead there are slow rises to the peak and back again to the level blood sugar, called the fasting level. The roller coaster effect on blood sugar levels are caused by foods laden with sugar. They have the similar effects of drugs and alcohol on blood sugar. The way back to normal is a diet of green foods, maybe even without fruit for awhile. You must retrain the body. That includes a lifestyle change. Eat raw whole foods and vegetables. Licorice root tea offers extra help toward normalcy, as does TOR’s Supertonic, which contains another helpful herb: spirulina. (Please listen to the recording for more details and understanding of hypoglycemia.)

Words of Encouragement

Philippians 2:9-11  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Acts 16:18  And this she did many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Worship: Ambassadors for Christ / Wellness: Supplements v Whole Foods

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  All God really wants is you. He has pledged all of heaven to create within you a new creature no matter what your past has been. He is able to save “from the guttermost to the uttermost” says Pastor Flemons, and then make you a minister of reconciliation. It is the ministry of bringing others closer to God. For that reason God holds His ambassadors to the highest of standards. (Read Ephesians 2:19; 2 Peter 2:9; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; 1 Corinthians 5:17; and 1 Corinthians 3:9. By all means, listen to the recording for more and to hear Pastor Flemons sing “Give of Your Best to the Master” and his sister Paula sing “All He Wants Is You.”)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says all that your body needs is in whole foods. The body is better able to absorb nutrients from whole foods than from pills. That is why Pastor Flemons and Rescue the Perishing Second Advent Church present   Meals Over Pills seminars in Pacolet, SC. Watch for them and then plan to attend. Until then, eat a variety of whole foods and use herbs as necessary. (Read Jeremiah 30:13 and Psalm 104:14.)

Words of Encouragement

James 2:8  If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well.

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Also read MH 487.)

Worship: Justification Follows Reconciliation / Wellness: Roseliz’s Anti-inflammation Tea

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Accept the forgiveness that Jesus offers for the remission of sin. “Repentance (or acknowledging sin and forsaking it) with confession and baptism are prerequisites to the remission of sins.” They precede reconciliation. And reconciliation precedes justification, just as the altar of sacrifice is located just before the laver for cleansing in the sanctuary, as you move from the entrance into the courtyard to the entrance into the holy place. (Read Acts 2:38; Romans 5:10; and Romans 4:25, and listen to the recording to hear Pastor Flemons sing “Since Jesus Came Into My Heart.”)

[For further details, read “Justification Follows Reconciliation” in The Path to the Throne of God, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 61 (pp 90 new edition) (PTG online 44).]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared an anti-inflammation tea that helps to increase circulation and is good for brain issues. Very simply blend together the following fresh ingredients: 2 cloves of garlic, 2 inches of ginger, 2 inches of turmeric and 1 cup of water. Warm it up and drink it. Or, if you have a blender that warms during the blending process, simply drink it up. Thanks to Roseliz, a medical missionary at Times of Refreshing, for sharing it with us!

Sharing Time  Pastor Flemons responded to questions of clarification about Mark 10:18 and Mark 12:35-37. Another listener, Sis. Odessa, praised God for  healing blessings.

Special Prayer for call-in listener 6229. Please pray for healing for her 86-year-old father, who has had a stroke, respiratory congestion and is on dialysis.

Words of Encouragement

Proverbs 3:5, 6  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Job 5:17  Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. (Also read DA 471.)
