Worship: Summary, the Heavenly Sanctuary / Wellness: Why You Must Be a Medical Missionary

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There are no types in Heaven–only the real–and Earth is the real court of the heavenly sanctuary. Heaven itself is the real sanctuary. It has two distinctive places: “the holy place where Christ began His work as High Priest, and the most holy, where He now officiates as Judge.” The things of the earthly sanctuary were made with hands and were only images that pointed to the real and living things in Heaven. “The heavenly sanctuary was not made with hands, but was set up by God when the earthly had fulfilled its purpose.” Most importantly, “the final work for man’s redemption by the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the angels, is now in progress in the heavenly sanctuary, and will soon close. Then, ‘the harvest,’ which is ‘the end of the world,’ Matt. 13:39, will be past, the wheat, the redeemed, will be gathered into the heavenly garner, and the chaff will be burned up. Matt. 3:12.”   (For further details, listen to the recording and sing with Pastor Flemons, Hymn 341,  “To God Be the Glory.”)

[This study was based on “Summary” in The Path to the Throne of God: The Sanctuary, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck, PTG 85 original; PTG 121 new edition; PTG 62 online.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, charged all listeners to become a medical missionary. Why? “It is the very essence of what we are called to do,” he says. The medical missionary who walked with Christ testifies in Luke 9:1 and 2 that Jesus “called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”  The book Counsels on Health puts it in context for those today facing the time of trouble prophesied. (For those details and more, please listen to the recording, and read the actual Counsels on Health quote below. Also read Mark 16:15-18.)

Words of Encouragement

1 John 3:18, 19  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

John 18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. (Read also 5T 134.2-134.3.)
