Worship: Christ’s Inauguration and Coronation / Wellness: Rational Remedies

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The suffering and Crucifixion of Christ were eventually followed by His Inauguration and Coronation as “THE KING OF GLORY” and “King over all the earth.” There were two coronations: the first taking place at His ascension, the second, after the earth is made new. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Overwork and overeating can imbalance the body system and cause physical suffering. Relief from conditions of overwork is found in resting the body, like retiring to the country. Relief from an unbalanced system from overeating is found in resting the digestive system. That is fasting. Sometimes fasting from a meal or two is all that is needed. At other times, a period of a few days may be necessary. However, the last thing needed in either case is “adding a burden of poisonous medicines.” {MH 235.1} Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, read that and more from Ellen G. White’s The Ministry of Healing, specifically from the sections titled “Rational Remedies” and “Rest as Remedy.” (For additional details, please listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.

Isaiah 29:22, 23  Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale. But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
