Worship: Preparation for the Holy Place / Wellness: Dress to Take Deeper Breaths

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  When we have repented of our sins, been washed by baptism, and surrendered our hearts to Christ, we are ready to receive the Holy Spirit and to follow Jesus into the Holy Place of the sanctuary. “The greatest preparation to enter into the Holy Place is to be filled with the Holy Spirit of Christ,” says Pastor Flemons. The professed Christians who do not have the Holy Spirit are the cause of problems in the church. What is needed is to become self-denying people, who draw nearer to Christ.

[For additional details, please read Romans 6:4; Hebrews 12:2; Hebrews 13:5; Acts 2:38; Acts 19:2-5; Acts 24:25; Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 16:24. Also, please listen to the recording and join Pastor Flemons in singing Hymn 306, “Draw Me Nearer.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Loose-fitting clothing, especially around the waist and chest areas allow the lungs to expand and contract for proper airflow. Suspenders are better than belts for breathing freedom. Tight belts and clothing inhibit exhaling and inhaling, hurts the respiratory system, lymphs, and circulation of blood. Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, “If you’re not breathing, you can’t continue living.” (For additional details, including how to properly breathe, please listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

Hebrews 3:12, 13   Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:19  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. (Also read GC 458 and CTr 54.2-54.4.)
