Worship: Bread on the Table, Eaten Outside / Wellness: Curing a Headache with a Hot Foot Bath

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  In the holy place of the sanctuary was the table of shewbread, positioned on the northside as you enter from the East. On the table was set two rows of large cakes or loaves, six in each row, representing the twelve tribes of Israel. The priests ate the bread in the court, showing a blending of justification and sanctification, says Pastor Flemons. “The bread was broken and eaten with the wine. . .throughout the week,” illustrating the truth that if all of our meals were taken in thanksgiving to God, and if we were to only eat and drink to His glory, and then dedicate to God all the strength thus received, every meal would be the sacrament that it was meant to be. And the family board would become the table of the Lord.

[For additional details, please read Colossians 2:6; Hebrews 10:29; Matthew 5:7; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Leviticus 24:5-9; and 6:26. Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that you can cure most headaches with a hot foot bath. Sadly, however, most people would rather “pop a pill, than run a tub of water.” He says that headaches are really a problem of blood circulation. Blood congested in the vessels of the head causes expansion of the vessels. The vessels then push against the nerves in the head, causing pain. Although a hot foot bath is not recommended for those who cannot judge heat, such as those with neuropathy, it is one of the best things you can do for a headache. “The external application of water is one of the easiest and most satisfactory ways of regulating the circulation of the blood.  . . . Warm baths open the pores and thus aid in the elimination of impurities. Both warm and neutral baths soothe the nerves and equalize the circulation.” Relief can be expected within one hour with a hot foot bath.  {MH 237.1} (For further details and important instructions for successfully doing a hot foot bath, please listen to the recording.
