Worship: REJECTED! Christ’s Comings Not Packaged as Expected / Wellness: Surviving Air Travel

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The Jews expected the Messiah to come in pomp and circumstance to deliver them from Roman rule and set up a glorious earthly kingdom. But Jesus covered His glory in the poverty of humanity and came to deliver the world, including the Romans, from Satan’s rule. He came to offer them eternal salvation through the principles of the kingdom of grace. They were not interested in the weightier issues of the heart. But the heart was and is the focus of Christ.

Many Christians today expect Jesus to quietly come and secretly rapture them from this world. But the Bible (in Revelation 1:7) clearly states that every eye will see Him come in the clouds. Jesus Himself said, “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory” (Mark 13:26). He also said, “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.” Paul says He will come with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the sound of God’s trumpet.

In both instances, the Bible is clear about His coming, but the problem was and is misinterpreted prophecies and omitting the weightier matters of the heart.

Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons singing “Are You Ready for Jesus to Come?.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, provided a few air travel tips for those who embrace the REFRESHING Way lifestyle.  (1) You can stay healthy by taking your own foods, even though you cannot take liquids. Carry a basic trail mix without sweets. When you must purchase at the airport, seek vegan dishes. But be careful of vegan burgers in white bread buns, which are constipating and served with condiments that contain eggs. (2) Walk through the airport whenever possible. Nevertheless, to avoid stress, please take advantage of wheelchair services from one gate to the other. (3) Take a pass on the free sodas and drink water. (4) Before you leave, purchase the travel size alcohol spray to sanitize toilet seats and use the seat covers. Do not hold your urine and bowels. (5) Be aware of time zone changes so that you can be alert to opportunities for resting your body. (6) Stay prayerful with worshipful music and the Word. (7) Discern opportunities to enhance the worship and wellness of others. In giving to others, you will be blessed.

(For further details, listen to the recording and watch Pastor Flemons in the 7-minute video, “The Whiter the Bread the Sooner You’re Dead.”)

Words of Encouragement

Romans 2:4  Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Also read Faith and Works, FW 25.1.)

Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Also read Faith and Works, FW 25.2-25.3.)

Worship: Taking the Kingdom by Violence / Wellness: Plan Your Wellness, Postpone Your Funeral

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “The Christian life is a battle and a march. In this warfare there is no release; the effort must be continuous and persevering. It is by unceasing endeavor that we maintain the victory over the temptations of Satan. Christian integrity must be sought with resistless energy and maintained with a resolute fixedness of purpose. {MH 453.2}

“No one will be borne upward without stern, persevering effort in his own behalf. All must engage in this warfare for themselves; no one else can fight our battles.” {MH 453.3}

“There is need of earnest work, that we may have strength from God to resist the enemy when he shall come in like a flood. . . .   Peace and rest can be secured only by conflict. The powers of light and darkness are in array, and we must individually take a part in the struggle. Jacob wrestled all night with God before he gained the victory. . .  “

“This violence takes in the whole heart. To be double minded is to be unstable. Resolution, self-denial, and consecrated effort are required for the work of preparation. The understanding and the conscience may be united; but if the will is not set to work, we shall make a failure. Every faculty and feeling must be engaged. Ardor and earnest prayer must take the place of listlessness and indifference. Only by earnest, determined effort and faith in the merits of Christ can we overcome, and gain the kingdom of heaven. Our time for work is short. Christ is soon to come the second time. May God help those who have heard the warning message to remember that ‘the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.’” {YI May 24, 1900, par. 5}

Obviously, this is no type of physical violence. It is a battle of the mind. It is in giving your whole heart to the LORD, says Pastor Flemons, that the blessing comes.

[For additional details, please read Matthew 11:12; Psalm 119:9, 10; Romans 14:17; Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:2,3; John 3:2; Luke 10:3,8,9; Revelation 22:11, 12; Youth’s Instructor, May 24, 1900, par. 5 and pages 21.1 to 23.2 in The Two Thrones Representing the Kingdoms of Grace and of Glory, by James White. Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons, singing Hymn 523, “My Faith Has Found a Resting Place.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that having no plan is a plan to fail. He says that you must plan to be healthy. For instance, you must plan the time to pray and study your Bible. They relieve stress. When you travel, plan to carry healthy food to avoid the needless temptation to eat junk foods. You must plan to do some things outside to breathe the fresh air and get the sun that you need daily. Walking for exercise is an excellent thing to do outside. In order to stay hydrated, you must keep water handy during the day and by your bedside, as you habitually get to bed by 9:30 nightly. Using self-control, being persistent, and sharing with others have healthy benefits. Use the REFRESHING Way lifestyle as you plan to get healthy and stay healthy. (For further details, listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

James 4:8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (Also read Faith and Works, FW 17.1.)

1 Chronicles 29:14  All things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee (last part). (Also read Faith and Works, FW 22.3-23.1.)

Worship: Kingdom of Grace Taught in 7 Parables / Wellness: False Education and Funerals

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Jesus had to teach in parables so that He could complete His work uninhibited. He taught the kingdom of grace through seven parables: the wheat and tares, the mustard seed, the leaven, the hidden treasure, the pearl of great price, the gospel net, and the ten virgins.

Through these parables we can learn the imperfect state of the present, when sinners and many can still enjoy the means of grace. We learn that the kingdom of grace extends from Adam and Eve to the redeemed of every age and from every land. We learn that like leaven, the work of grace affects the entire being. We learn the joyful state of mind of those who experience the blessings of grace. We learn the immense cost of salvation and the sacrifice it should take to obtain it. We learn that time will reveal the true character of those who have received the kingdom of grace. And we learn how the church would behave just prior to Christ’s second advent, when the kingdom of grace would come to its close and the kingdom of glory would begin.

[For additional details, please read Matthew 13:10,11, 24-50; Luke 13:18-20; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; and pages 17.4 to 20.5 in The Two Thrones Representing the Kingdoms of Grace and of Glory, by James White. Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons, singing Hymn 271, “Break Thou the Bread of Life.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that God wants us to be thinkers and not mere reflectors of other men’s thoughts. The world’s education is not according to the Bible. Neither is its standards. Millions, therefore, are mis-educated professionals. And the masses are deceived into following their lead, when they fail to test the word of professionals by the Word: the Bible.

God set the original plan of education in the Garden of Eden when He told Adam and Eve to tend the garden. They would observe nature and learn of God. Satan soon set up his own plan of education. It mixed truth and error. It was the one fruit God had forbidden: the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Since then, Satan’s educational plan has proceeded from this forbidden place to convincingly corrupt the world. It has been said that the most convincing lie is one that also has some truth in it. To be safe, therefore, every principle must be tested by God’s Word.

No one can encourage you to embrace a whole-food, plant-based diet, when they have not experienced its value for themselves. Meat-eaters who are doctors or ministers are unlikely to steer you toward a whole-food, plant-based diet for your health or for your spiritual growth. If you follow their lead, you are likely to die before your time. This then is the connection between false education and funerals. Don’t be foolish. There is no need for anyone to die before time. Yet, daily people are dying before their time.

(For further details, listen to the recording and read Genesis 3 and Ecclesiastes 7:17 KJV.)

Words of Encouragement

John 3:33, 34  He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Also read FW 21.1-21.2.)

Worship: Wheat, Tares at the Transfiguration / Wellness: If Your Stomach Could Talk…

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There was a reason that Jesus said to let the wheat and tares grow together until the harvest, and the Transfiguration event shows why. Jesus had taken only James, John and Peter with Him to the mount where they witnessed Jesus transfigured before them. His face shone as the sun. His clothing was “white as the light.” They saw Him talk with Moses and Elijah, who respectively represented the two types of believers at Christ’s glorious second coming: the resurrected dead and those who never tasted death. Peter immediately boasted his idea that three tabernacles should be erected. But the glory of the Father appeared and the sound of God’s voice hushed him.

“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him” (Matthew 17:5). At once, all three disciples fell to the ground face down with fear, until Jesus encouraged them. They showed the unreadiness of God’s people. But it also shows, says Pastor Flemons, that with Christ, tares can become wheat and they all can be encouraged to rise with Him without fear and be saved. Peter, who once denied his Lord, is a prime example.

Peter’s “testimony shows that the design of the transfiguration was to illustrate Christ’s second, personal, glorious coming and the future kingdom of glory, and that this kingdom will be set up at the period of the second advent, and the resurrection and change of the just to immortal life. He says; For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from Heaven we heard when we were with him in the holy mount.” 2 Peter 1:16-18{TTKGG 17.3}

Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons, singing Hymn 458, “More Love to Thee.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, wants you to understand the damage typically done to the stomach. If it could talk, it would tell you (1)  to stop feeding it meat, including fish and chicken. It can’t completely digest it. Undigested protein is toxic and becomes cancerous to the body. (2) It would say to stop feeding it dairy, which is high in antibiotics, mucus, bacteria and hormones. (3) It would say to stop feeding it sugar and white flour products, which are toxic. (4) It would say to stop feeding it continuously. It needs five hours to digest the previous full meal. (5) It would say to stop feeding it at bedtime. It needs rest to be ready for the next day’s work. (6) It would say to stop feeding it spicy foods. They cause headaches, irritability and stomach issues. (7) It would say to stop feeding it dyes, and chemical-laden foods. They are indigestible and cancerous too!

(For further details, listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement

Ephesians 3:17-19  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Jeremiah 29:12, 13  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Also read FW 76.3.)

Worship: Kingdoms of Grace and Glory Pt 2 / Wellness: A Merry Heart Good Medicine for Depression

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  After singing the Lord’s Prayer, which includes the phrase “Thy kingdom come,” Pastor Flemons explained how the term kingdom of heaven sometimes referred to the kingdom grace and at other times the kingdom of glory. John the Baptist, Jesus, and His disciples preached repentance because, as they said, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Clearly they referred to the kingdom of grace.

Sins were being pardoned. People were being cleansed and empowered to live as witnesses for Jesus. They were being prepared to inherit the kingdom of glory. They understood that the kingdom of glory was still to come, when Jesus would return in His glory.

Pastor Flemons also explained the term glorified flesh in relation to Bible texts that confirm Jesus was flesh and blood and that Job expected to see God in his flesh. The Apostle Paul refers to glorified flesh as incorruption and immortality. He says that it will happen “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

[For additional details, please read Matthew 6:10; 3:1,2; 4:17; 10:5-7; 20:20, 21; Luke 22:17, 18; 24:39; Acts 1:6; 1 Corinthians 15:50-53; James 2:5; Job 19:26; and The Two Thrones Representing the Kingdoms of Grace and of Glory, by James White. Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons, singing “The Lord’s Prayer” based on Matthew 6:9-13.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  The Bible said it first in Proverbs 17:22. Today, Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, repeated it and showed how the medical community is only now catching up. Singing does a heart good. Singing is medicine to overcome depression. Just as the little shepherd boy David was called to play his harp and soothe the depression of King Saul, a study has just concluded that mothers with postpartum depression can recover while singing with their babies.

The health.news article specifically stated this: “The researchers discovered that the recovery of mothers who took singing workshops with symptoms of moderate to severe postpartum depression significantly improved. On the other hand, the speed of recovery of the mothers who took part in creative play workshops were similar to those who received standard-of-care. Past studies suggest that singing allows depressed people to express their emotions and helps them get relaxed.”

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine,” (Proverbs 17:22).

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 62:5-7  My soul, wait thou only upon God; For my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. (Also read DA 413.)

Psalm 84:11, 12  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. (Also read SC 96.)

Worship: Kingdoms of Grace and Glory / Wellness: Don’t Borrow Power from Tomorrow

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Where there is a throne, there is a kingdom. Where there is a heavenly throne, there is a heavenly kingdom. The Bible speaks of two thrones (Hebrews 4:16; Matthew 25:31) or kingdoms: the kingdom of grace and the kingdom of glory. Established as early as grace was offered to sinful mankind, “The kingdom of grace is God’s plan to save men by grace.”  {TTKGG 1.4} The kingdom of glory will be established in connection with the second coming of Christ.

“The Scriptures distinctly speak of two thrones. One is the throne of the Father, the other is the throne of the Son. Christ first sits on the throne of the Father, to reign in connection with him in the kingdom of grace until human probation shall close. He will then reign upon his own throne forever, in the kingdom of glory. [Hebrews 8:1 and 12:2.] In these emphatic words, Christ addresses the church: ‘To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcome, and am set down with my Father in his throne.’ Revelation 3:21.” {TTKGG 2.2}

The church is made up of the subjects of the kingdom of grace. They are followers of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. These subjects, His followers, extend backward to Adam, to whom was first extended the grace of God and who believed in the promised Messiah. They are prepared or sanctified to become the subjects of the kingdom of glory. They will be invited to share the throne of glory with Jesus, just as Jesus sat on the right hand of His Father on His Father’s throne. In time, after the destruction of Satan and sin forever, “the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him:” Jesus, the king of kings and lord of lords. (Daniel 7:27 and 1 Timothy 6:14-16.)

[For additional details, please read Hebrews 4:16; Matthew 25:31; 2 Timothy 4:1,2; Revelation 3:21; 1 Timothy 6:14-16; Hebrews 8:1; 12:2; Daniel 2:44; 7:13, 14, 27; and The Two Thrones Representing the Kingdoms of Grace and of Glory, by James White. Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons, singing the Scripture song Daniel 7:27 and Hymn 619, “Lead On, O King Eternal.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that the fountain of youth so many are seeking has already been bestowed.

“God has endowed us with a certain amount of vital force. He has also formed us with organs suited to maintain the various functions of life, and He designs that these organs shall work together in harmony. If we carefully preserve the life force, and keep the delicate mechanism of the body in order, the result is health; but if the vital force is too rapidly exhausted, the nervous system borrows power for present use from its resources of strength, and when one organ is injured, all are affected. Nature bears much abuse without apparent resistance; she then arouses and makes a determined effort to remove the effects of the ill-treatment she has suffered. Her effort to correct these conditions is often manifest in fever and various other forms of sickness.” {MH 234}

“Intemperate eating is often the cause of sickness, and what nature most needs is to be relieved of the undue burden that has been placed upon her. In many cases of sickness, the very best remedy is for the patient to fast for a meal or two, that the overworked organs of digestion may have an opportunity to rest. A fruit diet for a few days has often brought great relief to brain workers. Many times a short period of entire abstinence from food, followed by simple, moderate eating, has led to recovery through nature’s own recuperative effort. An abstemious diet for a month or two would convince many sufferers that the path of self-denial is the path to health.” {MH 235.2}

The way to preserve your fountain of youth is to follow the eight laws of health, embedded in the acronym REFRESHING, as an easy reminder. You must Rely on God; Eat healthy; get Fresh air, Rest and Exercise; use Self-control; drink H2O, water; spend time In the sun; Never give up; and Give to others.

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 141:2  Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; And the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (Also read PP 144.)

Psalm 141:3, 4  Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, To practise wicked works with men that work iniquity. And let me not eat of their dainties. (Also read PK 348.2.)

Worship: Time of Jacob’s Trouble / Wellness: A Rare Breed, Dr. Rachel, MD

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There is a small time of trouble and a great time of trouble, also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble. They both occur before Jesus returns. Pastor Flemons says that the little time of trouble officially begins and is more fully catapulted as the national Sunday law is enacted. The time of Jacob’s trouble will officially begin when the penalty of death will be law against those who refuse to honor the Sunday law as sacred. By the time of Jacob’s trouble, every human case will have been decided for eternal life or eternal death.

During this time the people of God will have no Mediator in Heaven, for Jesus will have ended His ministry of intercession before the throne. He will have said, “It is done.” The people of God will have been sealed as overcomers. “They have received ‘the latter rain,’ ‘the refreshing from the presence of the Lord,’ and they are prepared for the trying hour before them.”

Wickedness, without restraint, will be released. The Holy Spirit of God will have been withdrawn. There will be a time of trouble such as the world has never seen.

[For additional details, please read Daniel 12:1; Revelation 22:11; and “The Time of Trouble” in the Great Controversy, by Ellen G. White, Chapter 39. Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons, singing the Scripture song Jeremiah 30:7.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, introduced Dr. Rachel Agard, a medical doctor who treasures the Word of God and His method of healing: diet, lifestyle and natural remedies. That Dr. Rachel fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor is no surprise to anyone who knew her. What was a surprise to even her is the focus of her practice: natural medicine, known in some circles as medical ministry. Yet, it is very fitting and probably should have come as no surprise. Even as child, she somehow followed the health message and refused to eat meat, a known source of disease among practitioners of natural medicine.

Now the health message is central to her ministry among the highest and the lowest. As a result, in only seven days a wheelchair-bound client walked, using only the aid of a walker. Daily, she had also exposed the high profile person to the writings of Ellen G. White, the servant of the LORD. “Diet and Spirituality” is one of her recommended readings, she says. It is the second chapter in the book Counsels on Diet and Foods, by Ellen White. Dr. Rachel says that as diet affects the chemistry of our brain it also affects our spirituality.

She advises that when we do what we know is right, then God will work miracles.

(For further details, listen to the recording and hear her tell her own story.)

Words of Encouragement

Daniel 9:16-17  Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

Psalm 99:1-3  The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved. The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy. (Also read MH 438.)

Worship: Small Time of Trouble / Wellness: Staying Fit for Times of Trouble

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  There is a small time of trouble and a great time of trouble, also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble. They both occur before Jesus returns. “Some would say that we are already in the little time of trouble,” says Pastor Flemons. But he says that the little time of trouble officially begins and is more fully catapulted as the national Sunday law is enacted.

During this time those who have not rejected the truth may still be converted. Time is provided for that group to be witnessed to. “This is the time to drop seeds of truth,” says Pastor Flemons. The Holy Spirit will be given in great measure, and the Sabbath will be more fully proclaimed. It will be a time when God’s faithful followers will not be able to buy or to sell, because they have rejected the Sunday law, as the illegitimate or “spurious Sabbath.”

This will be a time of persecution. “In the courts injustice will prevail.” Some during this time may become martyrs for the truth, since there can be no martyrs during the great time of trouble. Religious liberty will have come to an end. And the world “is going to get worse and worse,” says Pastor Flemons. But those who “lay hold” on truth, to whom God’s righteousness is revealed, and who keep from polluting the true seventh-day Sabbath, will receive the blessing of the LORD, according to Isaiah 56:1-3.

[For additional details, please read 2 Timothy 3; Matthew 24:12; 2 Peter 3:3; Revelation 13:16, 17EW 33-35, 85; and WLF  18.4. Also listen to the recording, which includes a discussion of nominal Adventists and the ark of safety, and Paula Irby, the sister of Pastor Flemons, singing Hymn 322, “Nothing Between.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that a firm commitment to the eight laws of health is the way to stay fit for the times of trouble. Embedded in the REFRESHING Way lifestyle are the eight biblical laws of health. REFRESHING is an acronym to remember those laws. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

Revelation 7:13, 14  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Also read GC 649.)

Luke 12:35, 36  Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for the lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. (Also read GC 427.1-427.2.)

Worship: DNA of UnReady Christians / Wellness: Nutrition Required Study at Med School?

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  DNA has clear identifying marks that can unquestionably point to the guilty and clear the innocent, after more than thirty years of unjust incarceration. In the same way, Matthew 24:48-51, show that the professed Christian who smites his fellow servants (Christian brethren) and who eats and drinks with the drunken are the ones guilty of hypocrisy. The Christian has clear identifying marks also. One is that they will have “love one to another,” according to John 13:35. Jesus says in John 17:21, that they will be unified as one, as is His Father and Himself.

Too often, says Pastor Flemons, Christians are “blaming others and never looking to themselves.” The problem is in neglecting the Word of God. For those, the hour of God’s judgment will come at a time when they are ill-prepared. In fact, Malachi says that the Lord will “suddenly come to his temple,” the place of judgment.

[For additional details, please read Matthew 24:45-51; Romans 6:16; John 13:35; John 17; Malachi 3:1; Daniel 7:13; and GC 424. Also listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons singing Hymn 311, “I Would Be Like Jesus.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that documentary films such as  “What the Health?” and “Forks Over Knives” will tell you that nutrition is critical to one’s health. Your own common sense will also tell you that doctors, therefore, ought to be nutrition experts. Sadly, that is not the case. And there is good reason that they are not.

Of the 126 medical schools that existed in 2004, 106 responded to a survey. Here’s what was found. “Ninety-nine of the 106 schools responding required some form of nutrition education; however, only 32 schools (30%) required a separate nutrition course. On average, students received 23.9 contact hours of nutrition instruction during medical school (range: 2–70 h). Only 40 schools required the minimum 25 h recommended by the National Academy of Sciences. Most instructors (88%) expressed the need for additional nutrition instruction at their institutions.”

Over the two decades prior to the survey, “numerous entreaties” were made to “improve the nutrition knowledge and skills of medical students and physicians.” The need still exists. It is evident in the experience of patients on a daily basis. (For further details, please listen to the recording. Also read the full article describing the Status of Nutrition Education in Medical Schools.)

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 37:37  Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: For the end of that man is peace.

Colossians 2:6, 7  As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. (Also read SC 70.1.)

Worship: Taken or Left / Wellness: 4 Habits That Prevent Constipation

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Pastor Flemons reminded listeners about the film “Left Behind” and asked them to decide whether they would rather be taken or left when Jesus comes in His glory. Pastor Flemons said that he wants to be left. Then he explained why. The Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 2:8, that the wicked will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming. Those who are left and not destroyed will be God’s faithful followers.

Pastor Flemons warned against succumbing to the two greatest urges mankind will ever have: appetite and passion. These two urges will be the primary urges that will cause mankind to be “taken” when Christ comes. Like those in Noah’s day, they would know “nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.”

“Those who persisted in appetite and passion–letting those things get the best of them–…would be taken,” says Pastor Flemons. But those which are left will be “alive.” They will “remain” to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and “ever be with the Lord.”

[For additional details, please read Matthew 24:37-41; 2 Thessalonians 2:8; and 1 Thessalonians 4:17; and listen to the recording, which includes Pastor Flemons singing Hymn 260, “Hover O’er Me, Holy Spirit.” Pastor Flemons also suggested reading his book, How Christ Fulfilled the Law, for study on the origin of the rapture theory.]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that you can prevent constipation by doing four simple things daily. For one, make it a habit to rely on God. Relying on God relieves stress, which causes constipation. Isaiah 26:3, says that God will keep in “perfect peace” that person whose mind is stayed on Him and who trusts in Him. The other three daily habits that prevent constipation are these: eating a whole food, plant-based diet; exercising, preferably in the fresh air; and drinking water equal to half of your body’s weight in ounces. Pastor Flemons added that sprinkling flaxseed on your foods can add fiber to your diet. He also suggested that you take herbs or herbal formulas, if necessary, to help keep the bowels moving. He specifically recommends TOR’s Colon Cleanse Tonic and Diatomaceous Earth. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Sharing Time  Hear one listener share a quote about prayer being the “key that moves the hand of Omnipotence.” Hear Pastor Flemons respond to questions about natural remedies for bone spurs and visual floaters. Hear Sis. Audrey provide SOP (Spirit of prophecy) resources to do further study on masturbation, which is also called “self-abuse,” “moral pollution,” and “secret vice” and a sin. Those terms may be used for further research. Also hear Sis. Annette’s testimonies and Sis. Jennifer offer closing prayer.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today call-in listener 6188, who made no special request. Please include in your prayers the father of one of our listeners, who just had a blood transfusion, as blood was found in his urine. And pray God grant wisdom in TOR’s decision about the property.

Pray also for those undergoing surgery today and all grieving families (especially spouses). Pray for those fighting for their lives and against depression. Also pray for people living in areas of extreme heat and in those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you!
