Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The common theme in each of the three articles of furniture in the Holy Place was incense. Incense was on the table of shewbread. Incense was in the golden candlestick. And incense was continually on the golden altar, also referred to as the altar of incense and the altar of prayer. As incense was put on the bread, at the lighting of the candlestick, and burned on the golden altar, prayer must accompany Bible study. Prayer must accompany service. In fact, prayer must be constant in the life of the believer. “The Christian who lives in the holy place will live a life of prayer, for only in constant communion with Christ, can he be ‘Perfected’–only thus can he be ‘sanctified.'” Prayer, says Pastor Flemons, was instituted as an emergency measure to communicate with God, once sin ended face-to-face communication with Him.

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that there is a link between sugar and inflammation. He says that inflammation is involved in every disease, as it is a natural response to toxins that invade the body. Even natural sugars eaten in excess is harmful, says Pastor Flemons, who reminded us that the Bible warns against eating honey in excess. (Read Proverbs 25:27.)
Fruit has sugar, he says. But the way it is packaged is healthy for our bodies. (For further details, please listen to the recording and read the healthline article that formed the basis of today’s talk..)

Special Prayer Please include in your prayers today for call-in listener 7587, who asked that we pray for her friends who are grieving the loss of loved ones this week. She also asked that we pray for her parents who are having health challenges. Her mother has a CT scan scheduled. Please pray for her also as a caregiver. Also please keep Sis. Chester in prayer regarding her dental challenge. She has learned that part of the dental instrument was left in her gum during surgery.
Pray also for all grieving families (especially spouses) and for those fighting for their lives. Also pray for those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and extreme heat.
Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you!

Words of Encouragement
1 John 3:6, 7 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. (Also read SC 61.)
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (Also read General Conference Bulletin, December 1895, p. 613.7.)
