Worship: The Family Altar / Wellness: Chemotherapy Is More Than Depressing

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  At the time of Incense, as the high priest ministered in the Holy Place every morning and evening, the multitude of Israelites prayed. “It was the sacred hour of worship, when Israel dedicated themselves anew to God, and to His service as symbolized in the lighting of the lamps. ‘In this custom, Christians have an example for morning and evening prayer. God . . .looks with great pleasure upon those who love Him, bowing morning and evening to seek pardon for sins committed, and to present their requests for needed blessings.’ PP 354. To families who observe the hour for daily worship, God has given one of His most precious promises: There ‘I will meet with thee.’ Exodus 30:6. This custom in our homes will ‘diffuse its fragrance’ not only in the home itself but ‘far around.’ . . .It will bring strength, and power, and honor, and victory, not only in our own experiences but in our efforts for others. This is the reward of all who faithfully and sincerely offer the incense of prayer upon the family altar morning and evening.”

Also listen to the recording and hear Pastor Flemons sing Hymn 483, “I Need Thee Every Hour.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, read from the health.news article titled “Chemotherapy found to stop brain cells from growing, worsening depression in brain cancer patients.”A new study, so the article reports, has concluded that depression, particularly in brain cancer patients, is not simply the result of psychological distress over receiving a cancer diagnosis. Depression, they have found, is an actual symptom of the disease and that treatment drugs exacerbate depression symptoms. Pastor Flemons says, “There are better alternatives to chemotherapy.” He recommends viewing all the videos in the series “The Truth About Cancer,” available on YouTube. Pastor Flemons added that  if people would alkalinize their diet, drink lots of vegetable juices, take coffee enemas, and some other herbal and mineral things, that “most cancers can be reversed, if people don’t wait too late.” In fact, he says that cancer does not kill you–toxins do. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Also pray for people living in areas of extreme heat and in those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters.

Words of Encouragement

Deuteronomy 28:1, 2  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Isaiah 35:10  The ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Also read AG 358.1.)
