Worship: Who Judges, Father or Son? / Wellness: Curing Sore Throat

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  “The judgment may not look like you expect,” says Pastor Flemons. In the earthly courtroom there will be at least the judge, an advocate, and a prosecutor. In Heaven, as names are brought into review, Jesus, our Savior, is both Advocate, and Judge.

“‘Christ has been made Judge. The Father is not the Judge. The angels are not. He who took humanity upon Himself, and in this world lived a perfect life, is to judge us.’ Heb. 2:17, 18; 9T 185. Only He who has taken humanity upon Himself and ‘was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin,’ only He who has been ‘touched with the feeling of our infirmities,’ is really qualified to be our High Priest or our Judge. Heb. 4:15. ‘The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. . .And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man’ John 5:22, 27. ‘Christ Himself will decide who are worthy to dwell with the family of heaven. He will judge every man according to his words and his works.'” COL 74

[For additional details, please read Hebrews 2:17, 18; 9T 185; Hebrews 4:15; John 5:22, 27; COL 74; as well as “The Father Welcomes the Son” and “Who Is the Judge?” in Path to the Throne of God, by Sarah Elizabeth Peck. (PTG 152, 153 original. PTG 210 new version. PTG 117 online.) Also, please listen to the recording and hear Pastor Flemons sing Hymn 246, “Worthy, Worthy Is the Lamb.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, continued to focus on ten diseases typically seen from September to April, like the painful sore throat. Curing a sore throat, he said, using natural remedies can be as easy as taking elderberry, garlic, ginger, Rocket Fuel, citrus tea (see recipe below), or garlic sauce (see recipe below). But he says that slippery elm with a little water, honey, and goldenseal powder mixed to a syrupy consistency is a very soothing antibiotic and antifungal formula.

Of course, you can try easing your sore throat with only warm water and salt. But you can take that to another level of healing with activated charcoal. Add 1 tablespoon of activated charcoal to 4 to 6 ounces of water, stir, and gargle. Be careful to avoid charcoal stains. Always add activated charcoal to the liquid. Never add the water or any liquid to the charcoal.

Sharing Time  Listeners (Sis. Odessa and Sis. Chester) asked questions about when to resume an herbal regimen following a shoulder surgery and what to do about nails that are thinning and not growing. Also Sis. Odessa updated listeners on her surgery.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers listener 0758, who made no special request. Also pray for Carrie’s mom (Mrs. Jones), as she is scheduled to return home Monday, since surviving two brain surgeries and skin surgery in July. Pray for Sis. Odessa’s recovery from shoulder surgery, for a listener just transferred to a hospice home, for a newywed couple in Florida, and for TOR’s expansion plans and property.

Pray also for those undergoing surgery today and all grieving families (especially spouses). Pray for those fighting for their lives and against depression. Also pray for people living in areas of extreme heat and in those areas at risk of being destroyed by hurricanes and tornadoes and other natural disasters.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you!
