Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The Apostle Paul clearly states that the veil, which hung at the entrance into the Most Holy Place and between it and the Holy Place, represented the flesh of Christ. The veil’s royal colors of blue, purple and red reflect obedience (blue) and the sacrificial blood (red) of the King (purple) of kings. It was made of fine-twined linen, representing the righteousness of Christ. The four pillars that held the veil point to the four gospels that “describe and support the four phases of the earthly life of Jesus when in the flesh He lived among men.
“As the vail separated the priest from the most holy place, where the presence of God was manifest in the shekinah above the mercy seat, so sin has separated us from God. But Christ in human flesh took our sins upon Himself. He took our place of separation, that we might be restored to the presence of God. Vailing His divinity with humanity, He became the Mediator between God and sinful man to make it possible for us at last to see His face. When redemption is finished, ‘the people of God hold open communion with the Father and the Son,’ ‘without a dimming vail between.’ GC 676, 677.” (PTG)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, discussed the seventh of ten major fall diseases: sinusitis. The “itis” tells you there is inflammation. In the case of sinusitis, the sinuses are inflamed. Sometimes, inflammation is linked to an infection, especially in the upper respiratory area, says Pastor Flemons.
A natural remedy that he suggests is the warm Epsom salt compress, using a hand towel dipped in about 1/2 gallon of hot water, containing 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt. The hand towel must be folded in thirds (yielding two creases), with the ends folded over and down together into a triangular shape, similar to the paper airplane fold. This is dipped into the hot water solution and placed over the sinuses with the pointed tip of the cloth angled toward the forehead, while the lower point straddles the bridge of the nose, causing the flaps to extend downward along the sides of the nose and over the cheeks. It is held in this position until the cloth cools. It may be repeated as needed, until relief is experienced.
To address infection of the sinuses, Pastor Flemons suggests taking Rocket Fuel or garlic sauce (see recipe below) or any combination of high vitamin C sources, like citrus tea (see recipe below). Also consider doing the Sinus Treatment (also, below).
Finally, consider changing your diet and lifestyle by following the REFRESHING Way to health and healing:
R – Rely on God. E – Eat healthy–meaning a total plant-based diet. Rather eat lots of fruits and vegetables and lesser of nuts and grains. F – Breathe in fresh air, containing negative ions, for purer blood in which no disease can flourish. R – Rest. Habitually go to bed by 9:30 p.m. It helps the blood remain or become alkaline, creating an environment that is hostile to disease. E – Exercise daily. Walking is a full-body exercise that rid toxins from the body, thus keeping the blood healthy. S – Use self-control by abstaining from harmful substances like alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and other drugs, and only doing in moderation those things that are good. H – Drink pure H2O (water) in ounces equal to your body weight divided in half. If you weigh 100 pounds, drink 50 ounces of water daily between meals–never with meals. This is a must in eliminating toxins from the blood and keeping the blood healthy. I – Get in the sun daily for at least 20 minutes. This helps build vitamin D, which guards against and helps lessen the severity of infections, particularly of the respiratory tract. N – Never give up. G – Give to others, and you will receive an extra special blessing of health (see Isaiah 58:6-8).
