Worship: For Heaven’s Sake “God’s promises are conditional,” says Pastor Flemons. When we are unfaithful, God cannot do for us what He desires to do. It causes a breach in God’s promises. For example, the children of Israel had to take forty years to complete an eleven-day journey, because they failed to meet the condition to receive His promise within eleven days.
What God gave to us, His church, in the beginning is the right thing. If it is corrupted or spoiled, it is our own fault and of our own choosing. There is then need for repair or restoration. But it would be better, if we keep our garments holy, as they came from God. Then there would be no need for restoration. For no one puts a new garment in the tear of an old garment. Garments in Scripture refer to character.
“What good things we have received in 2018 from God, we need to hold on and not lose them to the devil,” says Pastor Flemons. “Stay faithful to your charge,” he says. “Carry your character development into 2019.”
The emphasis is not on a new garment. It’s not always a new thing that is important. Rather, it is on the restoration of the old that matters, says Pastor Flemons. It is the old that was good in the beginning. The seventh-day Sabbath was good from its beginning. A new first-day Sabbath is not needed. Restore the old one. Remembering the Sabbath that God gave in the beginning is what matters to God.

Worship: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that we should be more committed to the REFRESHING way lifestyle. He went through the principles of the REFRESHING Way and encouraged everyone to persevere or to recommit, if they have faltered. He then prayed a prayer of commitment that we all hold on to the good habits and let go of the old.
We should take more time to read God’s Word and then rely on Him more trustingly. We should determine to eat a healthier diet. We should determine to get fresh air, rest and exercise most consistently. We should determine to use greater self-control, get out in the sun more frequently, be more committed about never giving up, and giving to others more often.
Galatians 6:9 is the message he quoted for us today: “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Sharing Time Pastor Flemons began the final segment by singing, “A Merry Heart Doeth Good Like a Medicine.” Listener 2596 gave a praise testimony about her family coming together to do some practical things for their mother and to give their mother her flowers while she is still alive to enjoy them. Sis. Audrey gave a testimony of praise for God protecting her mother during a fall last night, from keeping her from any broken bones and for protecting her daughter from a more serious injury.
Special Prayer Please include in your prayers today listener 2922, who has struggled with healthy habits but remains determined. She asks for our prayers that God gives her strength, courage, perseverance, and self-control. She wants to be closer to God in every way. Also remember her husband and the rest of her family in prayer. Sis. Odessa asked for prayer for a depressed and grieving friend, Bonnie, who lost her son and husband. Bonnie was temporarily missing, but has been found, hospitalized, and isolated. Please pray for her healing.
