Worship: Powers, Rulers and Spiritual Wickedness / Wellness: Healthy Spaghetti

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Satan has subordinates who worship him and operate in wickedness through anyone possible. These, says Pastor Flemons, are referred to as the principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness in Ephesians 6:12. They are singularly assigned and marshaled against God’s faithful followers.

Satan marshals his demonic imps in strict formation. The Bible gives us a glimpse of this high level organization of crime in the account of Jesus with the demon-possessed victims through whom He spoke to “Legion.”

“The fact that men have been possessed with demons, is clearly stated in the New Testament. The persons thus afflicted were not merely suffering with disease from natural causes. Christ had perfect understanding of that with which He was dealing, and He recognized the direct presence and agency of evil spirits. {GC 514.1}

“A striking example of their number, power, and malignity, and also of the power and mercy of Christ, is given in the Scripture account of the healing of the demoniacs at Gadara. Those wretched maniacs, spurning all restraint, writhing, foaming, raging, were filling the air with their cries, doing violence to themselves, and endangering all who should approach them. Their bleeding and disfigured bodies and distracted minds presented a spectacle well pleasing to the prince of darkness. One of the demons controlling the sufferers declared: ‘My name is Legion: for we are many.’ Mark 5:9. In the Roman army a legion consisted of from three to five thousand men. Satan’s hosts also are marshaled in companies, and the single company to which these demons belonged numbered no less than a legion.” {GC 514.2}

Each demon has a specialization and uses a particular strategy to cause God’s followers to fall, says Pastor Flemons. We are in a spiritual war. We need the whole armor on in order to be victorious over satanic strategies. “Don’t let anything keep us in this worldly mire of sin,” says Pastor Flemons. Remember, God is faithful. What He has in store for those who endure to the end is far greater than the heart can imagine.

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that you don’t have to give up your favorite dishes to eat healthy. For instance, you can make a healthy spaghetti.

Begin with organic noodles in which the pasta is made with something other than white flour. His was made with organic wheat, which has more wholeness than refinement. Refined products, he says, cause constipation. Cook your noodles as normal. Simply follow the directions on the package.

Then sauté together onions and peppers to make the sauce. Add choice seasonings, like salt, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and Herbamare, which is a “natural fine sea salt infused with organic herbs and vegetables.” For the tomato sauce, he used an organic tomato basil marinara sauce without vinegar as one of the ingredients. Vinegar interferes with digestion. Let all the ingredients simmer together. Then top with cubed tofu. Add, if you like, steamed broccoli to help round out the meal.

Pastor Flemons frequently states that you should build your meals around either a green salad or fruit salad. For this meal, he chose a green salad. He began with triple-washed organic green lettuce. He topped it with chopped onions, peppers, tomato slices, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, avocado or guacamole, and a homemade salad dressing. The recipe for the dressing, which was made with sunflower seeds, is available in TOR’s Total Vegetarian Cookbook.
