Worship: Helmet of Salvation / Wellness: How to Cure Stomachaches

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The helmet of salvation is the protection of your mind. It protects your thoughts, that they may be safeguarded from Satan’s sophistries, until you are eternally safe from his attacks. To secure this kind of victorious life, your mind must be right.

You must be willing to be saved. Christ will never force you to be saved. You must have a willing mind. “Then God can be your teacher,” says Pastor Flemons, “and give you understanding.”

Understanding will lead you into a humble mind, like that of Christ, as mentioned in Philippians 2:5-8. Christ, “being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

When we have the mind of Christ, we will recognize this.”The pains of duty and the pleasures of sin are the cords with which Satan binds men in his snares. Those who would rather die than perform a wrong act are the only ones who will be found faithful.” {5T 53.2}

It takes a whole heart, a committed mind, to accomplish this. A fully surrendered life to Christ leads to a transformed mind. As a result, your whole life will be transformed. It will reflect what is good and acceptable to God. Your life will reflect Jesus.

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that you can naturally cure your child’s stomachache. First, the diet must be right. Make sure that your child only eats a plant-based diet. Other foods outside of this (including meat, dairy and eggs) add acids to the system, which cause pain and illness.

Avoid giving them fried foods. Fried foods are not easily digested. They end up in the intestines and cause pain and problems. Pastor Flemons highly recommends having them drink nut milks to replace cow’s milk. He provided a simple recipe for almond milk.

Also stay away from dairy products and refined sugars. Rather than eat refined foods, serve them whole foods. Don’t allow them to eat between meals. Don’t allow them to drink with their meals. And don’t allow them to go to bed on undigested meals.

Additionally, it might be that they need a type of licorice: DGL. DGL helps the stomach lower the output of acid. If you find that these do not work, then your child could have another problem: parasites, for instance.

Words of Encouragement

Genesis 3:16, 17  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; … and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, … cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life. (Also read Conflict and Courage, CC 18.)

Acts 14:17  Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. (Also read With God at Dawn, WGD 14.)
