Worship: How to Decide When Both Right and Left Are Right / Wellness: The REFRESHING Way

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Always walk in the way of clear biblical principles. That’s a given. However, sometimes you have to make a decision when by going either way, there is no violation of principle. Sometimes you must decide which way you should go when both right is right and left is right. How do you do it?

The key, says Pastor Flemons, is in committing to GOD the issue, the work, the thing that must be decided. There are three steps. Do your best where you are. Commit your future, not only your occupation but every move, every decision, to God. Then, watch for indications of God’s providence.

“We need to follow more closely God’s plan of life. To do our best in the work that lies nearest, to commit our ways to God, and to watch for the indications of His providence—these are rules that ensure safe guidance in the choice of an occupation. {Ed 267.3}

“He who came from heaven to be our example spent nearly thirty years of His life in common, mechanical labor; but during this time He was studying the word and the works of God, and helping, teaching, all whom His influence could reach. When His public ministry began, He went about healing the sick, comforting the sorrowful, and preaching the gospel to the poor. This is the work of all His followers.” {Ed 267.4}

Sometimes the decision you must make is not the final one, says Pastor Flemons. God promises He will both guide us and confirm with us His guidance. What is crucial for us to do at every juncture is to ask whether the challenge we may be facing is a stumbling block or a stepping stone. Persevere. Never rush a decision. And never remain stuck in indecision. Take a step and watch for God’s providence. When it turns out to be a stepping stone, go forward.

Therefore, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5,6).

Worship: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says, “We must put our lifestyle above this clamor for drug medication.” Drug medication, which includes vaccinations, are not God’s way to prevent disease. Following the REFRESHING way is a prescribed lifestyle to both maintain and regain your health.

To be healthy, we must do these REFRESHING things:

We must Rely on God. It helps us eliminate unhealthy stress. We must Eat healthy, according to Genesis 1:29, which would be nuts, grains, fruits, and vegetables. We must breathe in Fresh air. It invigorates the body. We must Exercise to maintain a healthy blood flow. We must use Self-control, which is abstaining from all things harmful and doing in moderation those things that are good. We must drink H2O-water. Drink half of your body’s weight in ounces every day of pure soft water. Pastor Flemons says that you wouldn’t wash your car in some of the things you put in your body. Then we must be In the sun to receive the vitamin D that our bodies need to help balance our hormones and build our immune system. Getting out in the sun is God’s primary way for us to get vitamin D. Those are the eight laws of health. But Times of Refreshing Wellness Ministry adds two more. Never give up. Natural remedies sometimes take a little longer to reveal their effectiveness. Finally, Give to others. We must not hold onto good information without sharing it to help others, says Pastor Flemons.
