Worship: The Character and Aims of the Papacy, Pt 2 / Wellness: The Easiest Way to Prevent Osteoarthritis

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake
“We are approved of God when we follow God,” says Pastor Flemons. He discussed the character and aims of the Papacy, which led to the fall of the Christian church.

“The defenders of popery declare that the church has been maligned; and the Protestant world are inclined to accept the statement. Many urge that it is unjust to judge the church of today by the abominations and absurdities that marked her reign during the centuries of ignorance and darkness. They excuse her horrible cruelty as the result of the barbarism of the times, and plead that the influence of modern civilization has changed her sentiments. {GC88 563.2}

“Have these persons forgotten the claim of infallibility put forth for eight hundred years by this haughty power? So far from being relinquished, this claim has been affirmed in the nineteenth century with greater positiveness than ever before. As Rome asserts that she “never erred, and nevercan err,“ how can she renounce the principles which governed her course in past ages?”  {GC88 563.3}

“The Roman Catholic Church was the organized Christian church in apostasy. . . . The Jewish church was the organized church of God, and it went into apostasy so much so that it murdered the Savior,” says Pastor Flemons. “The Bible is a book of principles. Whoever does wrong and does not repent that is your proof that they have not changed. . . . The Roman Catholic Church persecuted the people of God, because they believe that they are above the Bible.” He adds, “It’s not above the Bible, my friends.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that osteoarthritis is simply calcification in the joints. It is like sand in a gear. And it is caused by an acidic diet.

When you have a joint that is bothersome, that is because the adjoining bone has lost calcium in the body’s effort to alkalinize acidic blood. Calcium is an alkaline mineral. It is the body’s natural resource for alkalinity. Therefore, when the blood is acidic the body pulls calcium from the bones through the joint. Calcium deposits become calcified in the joints and irritation develops. That is osteoarthritis.

But you can prevent osteoarthritis, says Pastor Flemons. If you would stop eating highly acidic foods, like the flesh of dead animals and their byproducts and refined sugar and flour, but rather eat lots of fruits, vegetables, alkaline grains and legumes, like millet and lima beans, and nuts like almonds, and drink adequate amounts of water, you can prevent osteoarthritis.

[For more details, please listen to the recording and consult this table of alkaline legumes.]

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria encouraged everyone to learn the power of praise in worship to God. She shared Psalm 95:1-7.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today Listener 8514, whose request remain unspoken.

Please pray for a young teen that we will call Jay. It is not certain what is his need or problem. But there is a deep need, as he is unusually silent and was recently publicly tearful.

Remember the unspoken prayer request of each heart.
