Worship: The Character and Aims of the Papacy, Pt 4 / Wellness: Natural Remedies for Bronchitis

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake “The papal church will never relinquish her claim to infallibility. All that she has done in her persecution of those who reject her dogmas, she holds to be right; and would she not repeat the same acts, should the opportunity be presented? Let the restraints now imposed by secular governments be removed, and Rome be re-instated in her former power, and there would speedily be a revival of her tyranny and persecution.” {GC88 564.1}

Revelation 13:2 tells of a beast that is like a leopard, with the feet of a bear, the mouth of a lion, and having the dragon’s power, seat, and great authority. This beast embodies characteristics of each world power revealed by the image of Daniel 7. Babylon, represented by the lion, would persecute anyone who held to his or her opposing religious convictions. The Medo-Persian empire, represented by the bear, could not change any edict, even when it was found to be wrong. This was exemplified in the fact that the king’s death decree against God’s people could not be changed, even when it was later learned that it included his beloved Queen Esther. Greece, represented by the leopard, held to high educational pursuits. The Bible says that Greeks seek after wisdom. This kind of education or wisdom, says Pastor Flemons, is of the world. “It destroys your faith” in the plainest “thus saith the Lord.” It leads only to questioning and doubt. The dragon represents pagan Rome, which gave its power, seat and great authority to papal Rome.

“Apply this to your personal life,” says Pastor Flemons. A mindset to persecute those who differ in their belief is a papal spirit. The papal spirit has not changed. It will not change. It cannot change. “The truth sets us free,” says Pastor Flemons. And “It keeps our feet on a straight path.” Sadly, he says, “many of us have the spirit of the Papacy, and we don’t even realize it.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that when you see any word that ends in -itis, it denotes inflammation. Such is the case with bronchitis. It simply means that your bronchial tubes are inflamed. It generally means that they are infected. Many times where there is inflammation, he says “there is infection.” Thus “the bronchial tubes become irritated by bacteria, viruses, dust, mold, and other types of elements that are disease-causing elements.” It causes a tightening in the chest, difficulty in breathing, a cough and tiredness. You must get rid of the infectious agent, and you must strengthen the immune system, he says.

He highly recommends taking Rocket Fuel. “It tastes like a strong, spicy ginger ale,” he says. Sipping on a quart of it per day should help you get rid of bronchitis. Another remedy is our Lung Immune Tea, which is purchased currently only through a phone call to 706-897-8537. In it are powerful herbs that include echinacea and red clover. Other remedies include our Antiinflammation Tonic, oil of oregano, turmeric, contrast showers, and rest with an onion poultice over the chest.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria encouraged everyone to promote health of body and soul with an attitude of gratitude and praise; gladden their lives with sacred song; and experience Heaven’s communion, which begins on earth. “Amidst the deepening shadows of earth’s last great crisis, God’s light will shine brightest, and the song of hope and trust will be heard in clearest and loftiest strains.” {Ed 166.7} All readings are excerpts from the book Power of Prayer, Chapter 16, “Prayer and Rejoicing,” pp 35, 36. (Hyperlinks are to another source bearing the same quote.) She also read Psalm 98:1.

Pastor Flemons responded to a question about peanut butter as a recommended protein. He does not recommend peanut butter. Almond butter is better; but sprouts are even better still, he says. Also a grain plus a legume together makes a protein.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today Listener 3777, who asks that we pray for him to live according to the voice of God every day. He also desires Spiritual discernment and enlightenment, as well as improved health.

Please pray for Sis. Chester in the area of disagreeing agreeably.

Remember the unspoken prayer request of each heart.
