Worship: Why Satan Is Getting the Best of You / Wellness: When do 800 glasses of water equal 8?

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Be content with whatever God has called you to. When you harbor feelings of envy or jealousy, strife and bitterness beware. They cause you to lose out on the very blessings of God for your life. Instead, they put you in a position for Satan to get the best of you.

When we keep turning our backs on God, says Pastor Flemons, He can’t hear us. (Read Isaiah 59:2.) That’s why the nine disciples could not cast the devil out of a young boy at the request of his father, while Jesus and the other three disciples were on the Mount of Transfiguration. That is why the seven sons of Sceva were overcome by the very demon they sought to exorcise. “You are not strong enough to fight the devil,” says Pastor Flemons.

Often people believe mustard seed faith means that only a little faith is necessary to accomplish much. That is not so, says Pastor Flemons. He reviewed the Bible texts that mention the term “little faith.” Whenever the term “little faith” is used, it is also rebuked or condemned, he says. Mustard seed faith is not equivalent to little faith, he says. On the contrary, mustard seed faith is that faith that, like the mustard seed, lays hold on every available source of nourishment for growth, until it becomes the greatest possible. Then, even a mountain will move at the command, “Be thou removed!”

“The devil,” says Pastor Flemons, ” doesn’t stand a chance against mustard seed faith.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that you would have to drink 800 glasses of water to do what your kidneys do with only 8 glasses of water every day. That is how powerful and efficient your kidneys are! No wonder then, that David shouted, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” (Read Psalm 139:14.)

When you do not drink enough glasses of water, you damage your kidneys and the other organs.

If you want to be sure about how many glasses of water you personally need every day, simply divide your weight in half. This gives you in ounces the amount of water your kidneys need to properly function every day.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria read John 16:7-14. and shared this commentary on it:

“With the consecrated worker for God, in whatever place he may be, the Holy Spirit abides. The words spoken to the disciples are spoken also to us. The Comforter is ours as well as theirs. The Spirit furnishes the strength that sustains striving, wrestling souls in every emergency, amidst the hatred of the world, and the realization of their own failures and mistakes. In sorrow and affliction, when the outlook seems dark and the future perplexing, and we feel helpless and alone,—these are the times when, in answer to the prayer of faith, the Holy Spirit brings comfort to the heart.”{AA 51.1}

TORSOE announced a variety of online classes to learn biblical wellness for medical missionary work. Some of the classes will be free. Other classes will bear a reasonable cost. These classes will be cover spiritual, mental and physical health.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers today Listener 4809, who made no special request.

Remember to pray for a 21-year-old widow (Onelia of Trinidad) whose husband was witness to a murder case, but was gunned down with 22 bullets before he could testify. Left is his young family, including an unborn child, who is now struggling in so many ways, as they witnessed his murder. Prayers and financial offerings are welcome. Send contributions to this ministry and mark it for Onelia. The final day to contribute is July 5.

Sis. Michelle asks that we pray for Becky, a friend suffering with sudden comatose effect from diabetic ketoacidosis, which she was unaware of having. Also pray for the children’s Bible camp, especially for children to be allowed to attend.

Sis. Chester needs our prayers that God will grant her wisdom, as she must make a major decision. Also pray for the pastor friend of hers who has suddenly been taken by an illness, while on a mission trip.

Pray for TORSOE’s need for a campus to promote healing and train medical missionaries.

Pray for the unspoken prayer requests of each heart.
