Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Satan wants you to play church, says Pastor Flemons, and think that you’re going to heaven anyhow. He does not want you to really know the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The power of Jesus is omnipotent. It cast Satan out of Heaven like lightning. And when you ally yourself with Omnipotence, even the devils must obey.
Nevertheless, Jesus warned the disciples against the excitement of having devils obey them. He told them that it is better to have their name written in the Book of Life than to have the devils submit to their command. Be warned from the experience of the seven sons of Sceva, whose lives were not right with God. They thought that they could cast demons out of a man just by calling on the name of Jesus. Instead, the demonic man overpowered them; “so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” (Read Acts 19:11-17.)
Your life must be right with God in order for you to bless others, says Pastor Flemons. What about your life? Is your name written only on the roll of a church? Or is your name written in the Book of Life?
[For further details, read Luke 10:17-20; Acts 19:11-17; Luke 6:46; 2 Timothy 4:2. Also, listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 229, “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.”]
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, says that constipation is the mother of all disease. He explained how uneliminated foods create toxic buildup in the body system, which lead to all manner of disease. He also explained how to overcome constipation. For one, he says that we need to eat a total plant-based diet. Drinking sufficient water and eating a lot of raw vegetables and fruit are essential. In fact, Pastor Flemons recommends building your meals around salads. One meal should be built around a fruit salad. The other meal should be built around a vegetable salad. In this way, you will consume fibrous foods that will keep the colon healthy.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria encouraged listeners with Psalm 27:14: “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” She also shared a couple of quotes from the book Power of Prayer, a collection of quotes on prayer by Ellen G. White, Chapter 17, “The Strength of Prayer” on p 37. 1. “The temptations to which we are daily exposed make prayer a necessity.” 2. “The strength acquired in prayer to God, united with individual effort in training the mind to thoughtfulness and caretaking, prepares the person for daily duties and keeps the spirit in peace under all circumstances, however trying. . . .“
Special Prayer Please include in your prayers today Listener 3702. Sis. David made no special request.
Sis. Michelle has asked that we pray for her cousins (Patty, Libby, Nita and son) who are “dealing with strife and contention resulting from illegal drug addiction.” Please pray for their “mental, spiritual, physical and financial healing.”
Please remember to pray for families of Brittany McConnor and the other two (a man and a lady), who died in a one-car crash, after doing house-to-house ministry in Michigan near Detroit. All three funerals were held as one memorial.
Remember to pray for Onelia of Trinidad, the 21-year-old widow, whose husband was witness to a murder case. He was gunned down with 22 bullets before he could testify. He left a young family, including an unborn child that has now been lost. The family is now struggling in so many ways, as his wife and son witnessed his murder. The total contribution that will be sent to her is $1,000. Please pray that she will not be victimized by those who would want to wrongly influence her in the use of the funds and that the funds will be protected against those who would take it for their own use or for any purpose other than that for which God approves. Thank you for your generosity.
Please pray for the Flemons. Pastor and Sis. Maria are traveling and need our prayers for their safety.
Pray for the unspoken prayer requests of each heart.

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may he ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger. (Also read With God at Dawn for July 7, WGD 190.)
