Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Spend time with God in prayer and fasting. If you need more faith, you need to spend more time in communion with God. Moses was a man of faith, because he spent time with God. Moses is called the meekest man who ever lived.
We need to understand, however, that true meekness is not weakness, says Pastor Flemons. It is not even simple humility. It is humility under fire that shows true meekness. “When people come against you, when you are talked about, mistreated, misused, maligned, lied on and still have an attitude of humility, that is true meekness,” says Pastor Flemons. We must have the faith of Moses that leads us to be truly meek.
The life of Moses demonstrates how to love and forgive those who would repay you evil for your good to them. The response of Moses to Aaron and Miriam in Numbers 12 and his forgiving love for the rebellious people he led through the wilderness, serve as a principle of meekness to all the world for all time. Moses is a type of Christ and his life lessons to the world is the reason that he is one of the few to whom so many owe so much.

Worship: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, challenges everyone “to get as much fresh air as possible today.” Ideally, the body needs to breathe in fresh air around the clock. If possible, crack a window, even during your sleeping hours, regardless of the temperatures. That may not be feasible for everyone, says Pastor Flemons. However, do your best. Fresh air provides negative ions that are positively healthy for the body.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria encouraged listeners with a passage from Chapter 58, “Pray for Others” in the Power of Prayer, a collection of writings on prayer by Ellen G. White. [Quotes below have been located in another hyperlinked source.]
“Pray for Others—Let us strive to walk in the light as Christ is in the light. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed, not only for himself, but for those who were opposing him. When he felt earnestly desirous that the souls that had trespassed against him might be helped, he himself received help. Let us pray, not only for ourselves, but for those who have hurt us, and are continuing to hurt us. Pray, pray, especially in your mind. Give not the Lord rest; for His ears are open to hear sincere, importunate prayers, when the soul is humbled before Him.—(The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 3:1141.) {Pr 244.1}
Pray for those you visit. “This work requires you to watch for souls as they that must give an account. The tenderness of Christ must pervade the heart of the worker. If you have a love for souls you will reveal a tender solicitude for them. You will offer humble, earnest, heartfelt prayers for those whom you visit. The fragrance of Christ’s love will be revealed in your work. He who gave His own life for the life of the world will co-operate with the unselfish worker to make an impression upon human hearts.—(Testimonies for the Church 6:75, 76.) {Pr 246.6}
Pray for people who are suffering. “The divine Healer is present in the sick-room; He hears every word of the prayers offered to Him in the simplicity of true faith. His disciples today are to pray for the sick, as verily as did the disciples of old. And there will be recoveries; for ‘the prayer of faith shall save the sick.’”(Gospel Workers, 215.) {Pr 231.3}
Wonderful results seen later. “With unutterable love, Jesus welcomes His faithful ones to the joy of their Lord. The Saviour’s joy is in seeing, in the kingdom of glory, the souls that have been saved by His agony and humiliation. And the redeemed will be sharers in His joy, as they behold, among the blessed, those who have been won to Christ through their prayers, their labors, and their loving sacrifice. As they gather about the great white throne, gladness unspeakable will fill their hearts, when they behold those whom they have won for Christ, and see that one has gained others, and these still others, all brought into the haven of rest, there to lay their crowns at Jesus’ feet and praise Him through the endless cycles of eternity.”—The Great Controversy, 646, 647. {Hvn 48.4}
Pastor Flemons announced that he will be speaking at the Inwood SDA Church, 2041 Buckhill Road, Gerardstown, West Virginia, this Sabbath.
