Words of Encouragement

Psalm 33:18, 19  Behold the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Psalm 34:5  They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

For Heaven’s Sake…

They have not been converted and have not learned of Christ, who is humble and meek and approachable. Even Christ didn’t have an air of superiority, says Pastor Flemons.

Church people who do not have the character of Christ rob others of the joy of true Christian fellowship. They deceptively steal the affections of others and eventually cause them to go out from Christ. They have a “religious experience,” but avoid the front door: Jesus Christ.

The only door to eternal life is Christ. Jesus says those who come in any other way are thieves, who “cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” It is all about character, says Pastor Flemons. It is only by Jesus that there is life, who came that we might have life “more abundantly.” (Read John 10:1-10; John 14:6; Luke 6:46; Exodus 33:18-23; Exodus 34:5-8; and Matthew 7:13, 14.)

As long as people (even church people) remain outside of Christ, they remain as aliens and strangers from the promises of God, without hope. (Read Ephesians 2:12.) Jesus does not desire to leave anyone outside or without hope. His offer is life through Him. “If we will enter, He will listen to our plea for pardon and protection, and will dispense mercy and judgment.” PTG 42 (PTG 32)

For Health’s Sake…

In fact, they say that  only a normal daily intake of vitamin D decreased the risk of mortality by 30 percent of those with cardiovascular disease. Their findings were drawn from a 12-year study of up to 4,000 patients who were an average age of 62 at the beginning of the study. The study began in the year 2000.

Typically, people are taking vitamin D3 to supplement for vitamin D levels. Pastor Flemons mentioned that D2 is the plant-based form of vitamin D, whereas D3 is the animal-based form. Sunlight, however, is the best source of vitamin D. Exposing the face and hands to only 20 minutes of sunlight daily is adequate. The amount of synthetic vitamin D that is recommended daily varies from person to person and depends on various factors, like geographic location, the season, the diet.

Blood values should be 42 to 100 nmol/l [nanomoles (nmol) per litre (L)]. If values are higher or lower, there is a greater risk of dying from cardiovascular disease. To learn what your individual blood values are, Pastor Flemons suggests visiting a WalMart lab, which needs no doctor’s order.
