Worship: The 144,000 and the Great Multitude, Pt 6 / Wellness: An Onion Poultice for Colds

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake “Is negativity constantly coming out of your mouth? Do you talk about people? Do you gossip? Do you like to hear reports about people’s sins? These are things that will guarantee that you will not be a part of the 144,000. . . . You can tell the spiritual condition of a person if you listen long enough to what they say,” says Pastor Flemons. He discussed one characteristic of the 144,000, as revealed in Revelation 14:5. It states, “In their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.”

After focusing on the power of the tongue and the typical way the tongue is used, Pastor Flemons warned against gossip that destroys others. We are encouraged to strive to be one of the 144,000. We are encouraged to allow the Holy Spirit of God to develop the character that is required to be counted as one of the 144,000.

[For further details, please read Revelation 14:5; James 3:5-18; Psalm 15:1-4; and listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who recited Hymn 316, “Live Out Thy Life Within Me.”]

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, highly recommends an onion poultice for sore throats and other infections. Although white and yellow onions have more power to pull out infections, red onions also can be effective. Slice the onion in about 3 rings or slabs and place them side by side on a plastic wrap. Then wrap the throat with the onions to the front of the throat. Over the plastic, wrap the neck with a scarf. Very soon, you can expect that area to begin to warm up. You may even perspire. That is a good thing. Sweat it out. And don’t be surprised if you find yourself better faster, than you would were you to take a drug medication.

(For further details, please listen to the recording and watch the demonstration on FB.)

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria shared more powerful readings from the book Power of Prayer, a collection of Ellen G. White writings on prayer. Specifically from Chapter 34, “God Hears Your Prayers,” pages 73 and 74, she emphasized three points: 1. “It is the Lord’s purpose that His method of healing without drugs shall be brought into prominence in every large city through our medical institutions.” 2. “When those who know the truth practice the self-denial enjoined in God’s word, the message will go with power.” 3. “When God helps, all obstacles will be overcome.” (The links lead to another source for the same message. ***The reference to the value of sleep being doubled prior to midnight versus those hours of sleep after midnight has been found and will be announced in a future broadcast.

Special Prayer  Please include in your prayers Listener 6970 (Sis. Angela), who made no request, but offered only thankfulness for God’s blessings. However, we are continuing to pray for her employment situation.

Please pray for a church sister of Sis. Audrey, who is going through divorce in her very senior years of life.

Pray for health and healing and traveling mercies for Pastor and Sister Flemons.
