Worship: Hell Fire / Wellness: Weight-Loss Tips

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Let Sodom and Gomorrha be our example of hell fire, eternal fire, everlasting fire, eternal destruction. The destruction was complete. The fire itself died when the burning was complete. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness and naturopathy, shared several weight loss tips. (Read more below.)

Special Prayer is offered daily for chosen listeners: 6683 (Pamela).

QT/QT  A question about high blood pressure led to suggestions for lifestyle change, including sipping on 16 ozs. of fresh beet juice in morning over a 45-minute period of time. Beet juice, says Pastor Flemons, has in it the components of most every drug classification used for hypertension: ace inhibitors, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, and diuretics. Sipping it is important, because drinking it too fast can cause nausea. Also, water is nature’s blood thinner. There’s more.

Words of Encouragement

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Psalm 91:2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

For Heaven’s Sake…

The Bible is clear:

Jude 7  Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Only ashes and balls of burned sulfur remain of Sodom and Gomorrha and the cities nearby that also burned with them. An excellent documentary about them is accessible here:

Luke 16:19-31 is a parable that teaches lessons Pastor Flemons outlined:

*No communication can exist between heaven and hell.

*Heaven would not be heavenly if we could see people tortured in a continuously burning hell.

*It was a call to follow Scripture.

*If Scripture would not be followed, people won’t believe though one rose from the dead.

“If hell burned forever,” says Pastor Flemons, “the wicked would have eternal life.”

Eternal life is promised only to the righteous.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But the wicked have the opposite promise.

Malachi 4:1  For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

For Health’s Sake…

Pastor Flemons says to implement these suggestions in your lifestyle and you will lose weight:

*Don’t eat late. Metabolism slows down in the evening. The body is preparing for rest, not digestion. The final meal of the day should be completed 4 to 5 hours before bedtime. Eating and going to bed causes undigested food to accumulate as waste in the gut and build poisonous toxins. Weight increases and risk for disease is heightened.

*Don’t overeat. The more calories you eat the more weight you will gain. Fat, protein and carbohydrates comprise the three major food groups. Eaten in excess, either one becomes stored in the body as fat.

*Exercise. Exercise every day. One pound lost in one day quickly adds up significant weight loss.

*Don’t overdo starches. Starch creates more fat storage as discussed earlier.

*Don’t eat animal products or too much sugar. This will cause too much fat and thus weight gain. Eliminating it from your diet will make a huge difference.

*Drink plenty of water. Water combines with fiber to remove fat from the system.

*Limit stress. Stress is a weight-gaining factor little thought of.
